I did see a recent post on Facebook stating they think he might possibly have been last seen at the Canton casino.

I find it hard to believe an addict would sell a vehicle or any other large item to someone in another city with the promise of payment in the future. Also, as a video cowboy, you are gone a lot on tour. Now 40 is likely the end of cowboying in a rodeo. Maybe making meth or whatever was supplementing his income as he aged. And it is really easy to talk to your kids every day or watch them do stuff you are into. It's a lot harder to come home every night and provide the routine and stability a child needs. Not saying that is what he did, but his profession and legal troubles don't, IMO, lend themselves to this rosy picture of the perfect dad. I could be wrong, though, often am!

"Alva man still missing after one year"

Brown said OSBI continues to look at every possible scenario involved in Travis Murrow’s disappearance.

“We look at any information that comes into us— does he have enemies, his past, tips — and we talk to those people,” Brown said. “We ask who would want to see him gone and we’ve done a lot of interviews as such. When you do one interview, usually you have two more names that you need to check out. Often we go back two to three times with more pointed questions that come from more information.”

Brown said Murrow has not had contact with any of his family members since his disappearance, but his family still has hope Murrow is out there.

“He was a good dad, a hard worker and an overall good person,” said Trent Murrow, Murrow’s brother. “He loved the rodeo and was a bull rider, but he started giving it up as he got older. His kids were involved in it, though, so he spent a lot of time with them doing it.”

Travis Murrow was last seen on August 24, 2014, in Enid, Oklahoma. According to authorities, the father of four had texted several people that day saying he was in the Enid and Canton areas. Several days after family and friends stopped hearing from the 40-year-old, Murrow's truck was found abandoned near Canton Lake. The Alva Police Department requested assistance from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), which has since taken over the investigation. Few clues have been discovered in the case. Investigators have not ruled out foul play. A $5,000 reward offered by the Murrow family remains for information that brings Travis home.

Scott Beeson, his best friend who is quoted in many of the articles thinks he knows who is responsible, but has no proof. The first comment it Travis' ex wife who seems to agree they know who it is. Very interesting! Hope this is solved soon.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says a man last seen five years ago is still missing.

...SBM

Murrow’s vehicle was found abandoned in a rural area in Dewey County that same night.

OSBI officials say he was on his way to either Oakwood or Seiling to see one of two former girlfriends who lived in the area.

However, Murrow did not arrive at either location.

He last communicated via cell phone with one of the former girlfriends shortly after 10 p.m. on the night of August 24.
