Found Deceased Olivia 5, Evelyn 8 & Paityn Decker 9, Endangered Alert, visitation w/ homeless dad Travis Decker 32, wh 2017 GMC Sierra PU, Wenatchee, 30 May 2025

I'd imagine they'll take fingerprints from the handprints ?
My first thought was that one of the girls bit him, but to get blood on one's hands would require a deeper wound then a young girl could inflict.
Still hope they did bite, scratch, ...whatever.
Imo.

Bbm.
Absolutely.
The oldest kids had permanent teeth. You can do a lot of damage with those.

The bodies of the three girls were discovered about 75 to 100 yards from the vehicle, down a small embankment. Authorities said all three had plastic bags over their heads, and their wrists were zip-tied. The likely cause of death, investigators believe, is asphyxiation.

IMO, TD had been at the campground since Thursday and most likely killed the children on Friday soon after collecting them. He had a good head start from the Sheriff and authorities. At the presser last night, the Sheriff said TD's father was arriving from Milwaukee last night to aid in locating him. Personally, I doubt they will find him alive.
What a nightmare for the grandfather - he's lost 3 grandchildren and his son is believed to have done it.

I hope he did it somehow in such a way the girls didn't realise in advance what he was going to do and that they didn't try to fight back for that reason alone.

Imagine realising that the person meant to protect you and that the person you'd always loved was going to kill you - what a terrible thing to have to grasp as a child. It would be somewhat easier to not know. That's what I hope for them.

Heartbreaking, just terrible news he killed them like that!! The one thing he may have done to aid in LE's discovery of their bodies sooner rather than later was to leave his truck nearby knowing it and the girls would be found nearby.

I hope he knocked them out first so they were unconcious when he killed them.

Rest in peace, beautiful girls 💔
Agreed. I think he purposely left his truck so the girls would be found fairly quickly once the truck was located. Additionally, he left his wallet as well and I will be totally shocked if he is still alive.

Such beautiful young girls with their whole life ahead of them. I can not even begin to fathom what the mom, other family members and friends are going through at this time. 💔 💔 💔

If he wanted the girls found quickly once the truck was discovered, I wonder why they were 100 feet over an embankment and not just next to the truck?

I'm not a gun person at all so I don't know this but is there a way to find out if someone legally owns a gun? I don't mean for citizens to research but for LE. Can LE search some kind of state or federal database to see if TD owns guns? Does that exist?

Good Point! However, imo 100 feet is not that far.

But, a correction is needed. In the link below, it states the girls were found 75 to a 100 yards away from the truck…down an embankment.

“The bodies of all three girls were found about 75 to 100 yards away down an embankment, and investigators noted zip ties and plastic bags were scattered throughout the area. Court documents state the girls’ wrists were zip-tied, or appeared to have been zip-tied, and each had a bag over their head. It appeared the girls had been suffocated.” 💔

Totally agree. Do we know if there is water near by or if he had access to a weapon?

There is water nearby. Icicle Road, where the truck was found, runs parallel to Icicle Creek. The campground is right on Icicle Road along the creek. Creek might sound small but in some places, it's wide with fast moving waters and more like a river.

There was mention by someone here about water not far. I don’t know the area at all. I have been thinking though that perhaps he has drowned himself.

As for a weapon there was nothing definitive either way about a weapon to my knowledge. But, I am sure LE aren’t taking in chances in that regard.

ETA sasha17 just answered your query re water nearby.

I immediately thought of Chris Watts when I read about this tragedy. Difficult to comprehend. :(

Any chance this was some camp where other homeless stay? I can't see him able to zip tie/suffocate without screams from the other children, it's not like he could do this to all 3 at the same time. What he had to hear while doing this to his own children ( who the mother stated he loved) I just can't fathom. I'm just wondering if anyone else heard or saw anything. I'm just sick about this.

Video of him that appears he's trying to get in a door/ looks like another truck behind him. Anyway, this was updated 26 min ago but others have posted earlier. I'm not sure if this was covered yet.

Possible siting. I doubt it, but one never knows.

“WA murder suspect Travis Decker possibly spotted in ID, police say

“ The McCall Police Department posted to social media on Wednesday, saying it is investigating the possible sighting.”

Without more information from LE, it's hard to know if this is recent video (with a different truck?) and security camera photos, or if they're older and they're just being provided now to help the public know what TD looks like. I hope they'll clarify this at the 6:00pm press conference.

Ah, the Fox13 article linked above clarified it's from before the girls left with him: "The Chelan County Sheriff's Office has released new photos of Decker captured through surveillance video. The pictures are from the days leading up to his visitation with the girls."

He could have possibly gave them a high dose of Melatonin or some sort of sleep aid as to why they didn't scream. I can't even imagine the horror those babies went through.
