The body of an unknown man was found on the Waaldijk in Oosterhout in February 2025. Extensive investigation did not lead to his identity. Do you think you recognize him based on the composite drawing and/or clothing? If so, please contact us.

The body of the man, who had been in the water for some time, was found at the water's edge. Investigations revealed that he did not die due to any crime. As his identity was not revealed, the deceased was given a municipal funeral.

However, we still hope to find out who he was. We would like to inform his next of kin, as they may be in great uncertainty about his fate. For this reason, we are sharing his composite drawing, as well as the clothes he was wearing at the time he was found. We take into account the possibility that the man came from Germany.

Description:
Gender: male
Height: about 1.90 meters tall
Facial hair: mustache (gray/black) and light, gray beard growth
Eye color: presumably brown
Other distinguishing features: scar on inner left wrist and possibly also a scar in his lower abdomen at the level of his right hip

Additional info that was in the video (mentioned above), but not in the notice:
- Person did not have any tattoos.
- Reason why they believe he might be from Germany is because of the filling material used in his teeth, the type of filling material is widely used in Germany according to the dentist that examined him.

My addition to this information as a dentistry student: the fillings could be Ketac-Molar. It is used in Germany and Eastern Europe or even the UK if they're old fillings, but a lot less in the Netherlands, it's way cheaper than composite and often seen as a budget option for fillings. Ketac-Molar is my best guess. Or they could be golden inlays, mostly used in Germany/Switzerland, but very expensive and niche, and I'm sure they would've mentioned that in the notice or video because it's way more visible.
