option to change background?

Hi!

When i first came to the new forum i thought i read somewhere that you could change the background of this forum. However i can't find it back nor the option to do so. Can anyone help me out?

For example sometimes you have the option on a website to choose yourself what kind of background you would like. I personally like a black background, because it reads calmer for me. And i thought it was possible, but i can't find it anymore.

Hello - Maybe this will help you out, if you are using a PC or laptop. I don't know how to do it on a phone. However, if you go to Tools on your toolbar and down towards the bottom there is an option that says Internet options. First put in a check in where it says use hover colors and uncheck where it says use Windows colors, then there is a color forum, pick whatever colors you like and it will change the colors on all of your Internet viewing, not just websleuths. I don't know how to do it just on websleuths, but this may be a help to you. I hope so. I know it is a help to me, I change them often; I get sick of one and change to another. It is actually very easy. I hope it works for you. Thanks. And, thank you Tricia for having this forum open for us and "free" . That is new to me, but I am always on an ipad here. wish that would work on devices, too.

I know many people like the orange color, but it really plays havoc with my vision issues. Even an option to go to black-and-white would be nicer for my eyes. But I think we may be stuck in a rut.

Up until a few days ago, it seems, there was a column on the right (underneath all the other info) and it was split into 3 sections for "new thread," "recent thread" and "latest comment." I don't see that anymore. Has it been permanently removed or is there a way to get it back? It was so handy. I may have accidentally unchecked or checked something.

I don't know why it has been removed, but it is not just you.

I don't recall seeing all the FB posts for WS in that same area before. Maybe it was and I was not paying attention,

It was removed for a day or so a while back I believe. When the Mollie Tibbetts thread was busy, as the site couldn’t cope with all the traffic. I’m guessing that’s happened again. I hope it will return.

There is no option currently to change colors/theme. I have included this in my FAQ post here so I will be pulling this thread from public view.
