In custody per local Sheriff press release per local news. And CNN.

Why are these abusers let out so soon so they can abuse or kill more women?

Good question! Here’s hoping Oregon can do what Nevada didn’t do. I hope his poor victim recovers.

Local news…he has died in the hospital from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Apparently new events at Wolf Creek (where his car was dumped) are being investigated.

In this case, Clark County Nevada prosecutor screwed up big time! It’s unbelievable.

Oregon torture suspect dead after hours-long standoff, report says

Could the victim in Oregon possibly sue Clark County, NV for anything given the sweet deal he got? According to the article, the original charges in NV could have led to "decades in prison upon conviction."

Well, at least the victim has been spared further trauma. But terrifying he went back to hide under her home!

If she survives and recovers sufficiently, I hope she will sue. And I’m not a big fan of lawsuits, but she may need financial help after this ordeal. I hope she makes it. At least she won’t have to testify at his trial.

Apparently he went back to the house and was seen WALKING A DOG!!! That’s what brought LE to the scene, so he hid under her house. I can’t believe he had the nerve to go back there for any reason. I figured he was long gone from the area.

Nothing official. Rumor (FB last night). But the rumors about everything were flying. Poor thing needs our prayers.

This is one of the rumors that has turned out to be true. He is suspected of two murders in Sunny Valley.

This seems to be where the dog came from…the two victims.

This article says the victim is in critical condition with serious injuries.

Snipped:
Richard Lee Barron Jr., and Donald Owen Griffith were killed sometime between Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning, Oregon State Police Capt. Kyle Kennedy said.
The men lived together in the unincorporated community of Sunny Valley and apparently did not know Foster, who police said left a gruesome scene and stole some of the victims’ belongings, including their dog.

But after evading law enforcement in Sunny Valley last week, Oregon state police now believe Foster was also connected to two homicides in rural Josephine County.

“We have no outstanding suspects in relation to the deaths of Mr. Barron and Mr. Griffith. We believe those are related to Benjamin Foster,” Oregon State Police captain Kyle Kennedy said.

The victims were discovered brutally beaten on January 31, according to police.

Their names are 74-year-old Richard Lee Barron Jr and 65-year-old Donald Owen Griffith.

Police are unsure about their connection with Foster.

Here is a link to a very detailed summary of the events that led to his cornering. Thanks to the LE's "be on the lookout for....", a cab driver informed them someone matching that description called for a ride from the Wolf Creek community to Grants Pass. Police did due diligence and checked every home in the community to make sure no one had been hurt. That is how they came across the crime scene of the two men beaten to death. I'd really like to know if the little dog owned by the men BF murdered is alive. And if that 'woman' hadn't helped him, the 2 men would probably be alive today. I hope the 'woman' is charged with the murders. If there isn't a law in place, then there should be one. Just like driving a getaway car, she assisted in his crimes by helping him evade capture.

Right?! If he would have been sentenced correctly in the Nevada case, the Oregon victim wouldn't have almost died!!
Authorities in Grants Pass say none of this would have happened if authorities in Nevada hadn’t been so quick just over a year ago to release Foster from prison, where he was serving time for holding his then-girlfriend in Las Vegas captive for two weeks and torturing her. And a Grants Pass woman would not now be in a hospital, comatose and in critical condition, they say.

It’s “extremely troubling,” Grants Pass Police Chief Warren Hensman said.

In the 2019 incident in Las Vegas, Foster broke seven of his girlfriend’s ribs, gave her two black eyes, choked her to the point of unconsciousness and forced her to eat lye before she managed to escape, authorities said. Foster already had a suspended jail sentence on a concealed-weapons charge and was awaiting trial in another domestic violence case.

In a plea deal with prosecutors, Foster was sentenced to one to 2 1/2 years. He was set free on Oct. 21, 2021, the same day he was transferred to a Nevada state prison because he had already served 729 days in jail for the crimes before he was sentenced, according to a Nevada corrections official.

Fifteen months later, Foster was living in Oregon and in a relationship with the Grants Pass woman. On Jan. 24, her friend grew concerned because she hadn’t been seen for several days. The friend went to the woman’s house, where she was found bound and beaten to unconsciousness.
