I wonder about 13yo Eric Vargas missing from 30mi away since March 2004 (more than 10 years before these remains were found). Although it was assumed Eric ran away and since he had previously lived in Canada maybe searching was aimed in that direction? But perhaps he actually came to an awful end much closer to home.

Diane Nyugen Robbins, 13yo, missing from Kennewick WA since 1985. The distance from where she went missing is 220miles, not inconceivable if she was hitchhiking. The sticking point for me on this one would be that the young woman she went missing with was found murdered in WA close to where they went missing.

We can rule Wanda out, as a skull has now been identified as hers in the Mt. Hood area.

Seems that Eric Vargas can now be ruled out as well, as it has been determined the Clackamas UID is a female.
