On June 20 at about 6:41 a.m., Monte Callaway, who lives on Ruby Loop in Bandon, called the Coos County Sheriff’s Office to report his sister, Crystal Martin, 59, of Powers had walked away from his residence sometime in the night between 1:10 and 4:30 a.m., according to a Sheriff's Office press release.

Martin was reported to deputies to be headed to the Powers area.

At about 4:59 p.m. on June 20, family members called the Sheriff’s Office again. The indications were Martin had some physical as well as mental problems that led deputies to upgrade her status to missing and *endangered* due to those medical problems.

The brother has had issues of his own, and is recently out of prison. I'd say this doesn't look good.

Bar shooting suspect hears charges in court

COQUILLE — The suspect in the February shooting of a Bandon bartender was in court Monday, where he learned what penalties possibly await him. A formal indictment was delayed, however, pending a grand jury hearing on Thursday.

Monte B. Callaway, 47, wore a light yellow surgical mask over what remains of his lower jaw as Judge Michael Gillespie presided over the case. It features three felony charges that include maximum prison sentences totaling 50 years and maximum fines of $1 million.

Powers woman last seen in Bandon on June 20
On June 21, deputies and members of the search and rescue team searched the area by foot and air. They did not locate Martin.

Powers woman considered missing and endangered
On June 21, Coos County Sheriff’s deputies along with members of the Coos County Search and Rescue responded to the area. Deputies and Search and Rescue K9s searched the surrounding area on foot and by air but did not locate Martin.
