A plea for the return of David Arthur Stephens - Our beloved son, brother, and the father of two of our wonderful Grandchildren. David was last seen on Christmas day, 2004 and disappeared from the face of God's earth.
A Forest Ranger found his car deep in the wilderness of Northern California in January 2005 and we miss him dearly. That area has been searched and searched to no avail and we pray that God has not taken him at the young age of 49 years.
If David were able, he would call. He would not keep us in dreaded suspense. That is not his way!
Our David was born on October 14, 1955 in Moline, Illinois and began his education in Galva, Illinois and finished in the Amity, Oregon School System. He served in the United States Army, married and now has two children who cannot bear life without him. They are Abraham Isiah and Joseph Soloman. Also grieving David's void are his mother and father, La Verne and Dave Stephens of McMinnville, five brothers: Ronald Marvin of Texas, Brian Laine of Amity, Gary Allen, Michael Jon and Jeffery Mark all of McMinnville. Sharing this grief are his two sisters, Cheryl Ann Hopkins of McMinnville and Brenda Leigh Wilson of Portland.
David was reported missing to the Oregon State Police and the Sheriff 's Department in the Northern California County where he disappeared. It's been eight months now and time for him to come home. The court has declared him deceased as of January 9, 2005, but we keep hope alive in our hearts — David — we love you dearly! Jesus Christ, our savior, hear our plea: Reveal his place on this earth and return him to us, we will accept him without reservation, dear Jesus, for he is a part of us. His Mother, Father, Two Sons,
Five Brothers, Two Sisters, and Nineteen Nephews and Nieces all wait for his return.
