Police Seek Help Locating Missing Gresham Woman (Photo)

Gresham, Ore. – Gresham Police is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 55-year-old woman last seen on Aug. 29. Diana Bober is an avid hiker and family is worried that something may have happened to her while hiking. She is known to frequent the Gorge and Mount Hood area. Bober has red hair, hazel eyes, is approximately 5-feet-4-inches tall and 115 pounds. She drives a black 1996 Mazda Miata with Oregon plate 324HPJ.

Anyone who knows of Bober’s whereabouts is encouraged to call the non-emergency police dispatch line at 503.823.3333.

Searchers scour Mt. Hood after missing Gresham woman's car found

Searchers are combing parts of the Mount Hood National Forest for a 55-year-old Gresham woman last seen Aug. 29 after her car was spotted Saturday near the Zigzag ranger station.

The search for Diana Bober began after her car was found around 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Crews fanned out from the ranger station to search for her, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office said on its Twitter account. They resumed searching on Sunday.

The trail is taped off where search & rescue crews are continuing to look for 55-yr-old Diana Bober. She was an avid hiker & has been missing since August 29th.

Massive search launched after avid hiker goes missing

Two hikers also found Bober's backpack on Aug. 30, reported ABC affiliate KATU in Portland.

"She's not a survivalist or carrying a tent on her backpack or anything like that," Bober's sister, Alison Bober, told KATU.

As rescue crews search, Bober's family members have flown to Oregon from Virginia and Texas.

Wow, she has been missing since August 29th? And they just began searching for her? Or was it she was last seen somewhere else and not hiking? I would think that over the Labor Day weekend maybe someone would have come upon her. It sounds like they only started searching this weekend. I am trying to figure out when she went hiking and how long before someone sounded an alarm she was missing. Another lost female hiker. I hope she is found safe.
