Found Deceased OR - Duane Downs, 64, West Linn, 6 March 2016

Police say Duane Downs walked away from his home on Spring Ridge Drive at about noon Sunday, leaving without his wallet, cellphone or car.

Downs' behavior is out of character, and family is concerned for him, according to police.

He is described as 5’8″, 160 pounds and was wearing a black Columbia Sportswear jacket and khaki pants, police said.

Family members tell police this is completely out of character.

The body found in the Willamette River near Lake Oswego Monday evening is missing West Linn man Duane Downs.

The medical examiner confirmed the identity of the body on Tuesday morning. The cause of death was drowning

I'm so sorry to read this outcome. I heard on the local news this morning about the body found in the river and was hoping it wasn't Duane.
