OR OR - Jay Pringle, 17, Medford, 19 April 1977

I have the impression that the black man named by Kellog does not exist... I look for an alibi at that moment... the fight did happen perhaps for money or a woman... Kellog acted violently against Jay... maybe he buried the body in some nearby area where he killed him or threw it into some nearby river... he is the only one who knows the truth but he is already dead... and he did not die as old as we might think... nor did he pass for suspicion... although perhaps someone else did it and in order not to get involved with police and investigations that perhaps would put him in danger he preferred to remain silent forever...
whatever the case
rest in peace

I agree with you!

I never could figure out why they went to California from Oregon in the first place, either way, I think Kellogg spent all of his money likely in LA and perhaps Pringle didn't want to give him any money, so they got into a fight and Kellogg killed and likely disposed of him. It was sad that Kellogg spent all of Pringles money enroute back to Oregon. I do not believe that they ever made it to Gardena, maybe Kellogg did but I don't think Pringle did. The only thing I couldn't figure out, was why Kellogg went to Nevada. Maybe he went to the casinos in Las Vegas and that's where he spent Pringles money. I think Kellogg went to his grave knowing full well what happened to Pringle. By chance..How did he pass away? I could not find an obituary for him.

The Vegas thing seems interesting to me... if he spent the money in a way that couldn't be traced... but why do all that? But I think that he killed him and made up that he ran off with the black man... I can't imagine being friends with someone and just killing and robbing him over a simple fight... maybe he always wanted to rob and kill him... the mind can't think of much...

Thats very true, I think for me, I just dont know why he would have went to Nevada in the first place. Either way I think Pringle was killed over money, whether he was robbed or perhaps they got into a huge argument. I can see the robbery portion being correct.
