OR - Jayme Austin, 31, Coquille, 9 Nov 2009

Relatives told investigators that Austin occasionally disappeared for a day or two in the past, when she was using methamphetamine. But Austin overcame the addiction a couple of years ago.

"It's hard to come back from drug problems, but she did," Gisholt said.

I wonder if she took her cell phone when she would disappear? That is a tough addiction. KPTV is a Portland station that broadcasts all over the state. That is good coverage.

Good question! I am getting the feeling it is more then her just wanting to disappear.

Darn I was so hoping she would be alive and safe, praying for the family & children.

Keeping fingers crossed its not her...Love to her family, especially her daughters.

What is the deal with the brother in law? Any info?

How old is he?

This looks like a high school band from 2007? Younger sister's husband? What is going on here?

Investigators are digging up a grave this morning believed to contain the body of Jayme Sue Austin, who has been missing since Monday. Police have arrested her brother-in-law, Patrick Lee Horath, 45, on a charge of murder.

Officers located a grave site Thursday night a short distance from Middle Creek Road, but it was too dark to properly investigate, said Coos County District Attorney R. Paul Frasier in a 1 a.m. press release today.

Police have closed a section of the road to traffic to allow investigators to examine the gravesite. The exact location of the grave has not been released.

Austin, 31, was last heard from Monday morning, when she called her mother, Cindy Gisholt, to say her water at her Fairview home wasn’t working. She is believed to have gone two doors down her mother’s to get ready for work. Horath lives in a home between Austin’s and Gisholt’s on Fairview Road.

Oh my. My flight just landed and I jumped on here. :( Wow. Don't know what to say.

I am so sad :-(....We knew it had to be someone that knew the family and schedule...but her brother-in-law? I'm just sick. Just when she was turning her life around, too!

My prayers to her daughters, family and friends.

:praying:
