Jennifer DeLap was last seen on January 16, 1991 at her home in Boring, Oregon. Jennifer DeLap's husband told deputies that he last saw her late in the evening, when she left for the coast with an unidentified man in a white sedan. He said she'd gone to Newport to check into a six-month rehab program.

Jennifer DeLap used to contact her father regularly, asking for money. Those calls and letters stopped. Her father grew worried and started calling Newport. The town didn't have a residential rehab program.

Nearly four months later, on May 8, the Clark County Sheriff's Office received a missing person report on Jennifer DeLap, filed by her sister. Clark County passed the report along to Clackamas County, which has been investigating the disappearance since then.

In five years of marriage, Jennifer Delap filed for at least two restraining orders against her husband and was hospitalized after several episodes of abuse.

Her body has never been found and she is presumed to have been murdered.

Whenever an abusive spouse says their missing wife went to a certain destination, I have a feeling the spouse will be found somewhere along that route. Just my hunch.

Reward raised to $35,000 in 1991 cold case involving missing Boring woman; father willing to speak to media

The father of a woman who disappeared in 1991 is raising the reward to $35,000 for information leading to an arrest in this 1991 cold case. The father is also willing to speak to the media.

On January 16, 1991, Jennifer Lynn Delap, then 39 years old, was reported missing from her home in Boring, Oregon. Her body has never been found. Authorities believe she was murdered.

Jennifer Lynn Delap was born on Nov. 23, 1951, and had gone by the names Jennifer Storgard and Jennifer Walling in the past before her disappearance.

Jennifer Delap's father James Walling has raised the reward to $35,000 for information leading to an arrest in this case.

In May 1991, Kathy Fessler told police that her sister -- Jennifer Lynn Delap, then 39, of Boring -- had been missing for nearly four months.

Jennifer Lynn Delap of Boring went missing in January 1991. Clackamas County Sheriff's detectives believe she was murdered.

Jennifer Delap was wrestling with a heroin habit, Fessler explained. After she disappeared in January, her husband, Kim Delap, told family members she'd gone to Newport to check into a six-month rehab program.
Months passed silently. Jennifer Delap used to contact her father regularly, asking for money. Those calls and letters stopped. Her father grew worried and started calling Newport. The town didn't have a residential rehab program.

Jennifer Delap's family never saw her again. Detectives believe she was murdered and have identified Kim Delap, who now lives in Southeast Portland, as a primary suspect.

In five years of marriage, Jennifer Delap filed for at least two restraining orders against Kim Delap and was hospitalized after several episodes of abuse, including times when, according to police, he heaved her through a window and threw her down a flight of concrete stairs.

The case is under active investigation by Detective Dan Kraus.
