“Investigation revealed after she was reported missing but before he reported it to police, defendant made multiple trips to Home Depot to purchase zip ties, tarps, a saw blade, a black tote and contractor bags among other things,” an attorney told the courtroom on Monday.

In court, attorneys went on to say Fritsch allegedly admitted to dismembering Taylor and disposed of her body at multiple municipality garbage dumps, adding that he told police it was so they wouldn’t be able to find her body.

It was also noted in court that Taylor’s adult, developmentally disabled and non-verbal daughter was left at the home, but it’s unclear where she is now.

Thank you for adding this post @Caring1. Most unfortunate ending to a person’s life. May justice be done.

As you can see from the snippet from the article below, our (yes, our, as in my) landfill is called Coffin Butte. Awful name, and doubly awful after finding a dismembered body there. :( Oddly this is the first I heard of the case. I saw the news article first, then search for his name on WS and Voila! There it was.

The remains of a missing woman have been found in the Coffin Butte Landfill.

Working a homicide investigation, Oregon City Police Department executed a search at the Corvallis landfill on Friday, Aug. 11, according to a news release from the agency.

After several days of searching, investigators discovered the remains, presumed to be 49-year-old Kara Rayleen Taylor. The remains were taken to the Clackamas County Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination and positive identification.

A court document indicates Taylor's body was dismembered.

I wonder if they found all of her. Sounds doubtful since he dispersed parts across multiple municipalities, and also because other parts of the state use OUR landfill because they are full! That's a whole other issue... but my point there is that it's not just local garbage at that site. I think it might be the entire state. See my snippet and 2nd article link at the bottom.

From the same article I posted above BBM....

Following his arrest, investigators say Fritsch admitted to killing Taylor and dismembering her body. He told investigators that they wouldn't find her remains because he'd dispersed them in garbage bins across multiple municipalities, according to a state prosecutor.

According to a Wednesday statement from Oregon City police, investigators began a search of the Coffin Butte Landfill near Corvallis on Friday. Although the search took several days, investigators did eventually discover human remains at the site that are believed to belong to Taylor.

This info is from an old article so maybe more counties are dumping here than this. It's hard to tell when Google won't cooperate so this is the best I've got:

The landfill is filling up with material from not just local jurisdictions. By tonnage, the county leading in Coffin Butte disposals in 2016 was Marion. It was followed, more or less in order, by Linn, Washington, Benton, Polk, Tillamook, Lincoln, Columbia, Lane, and Clackamas.

Police have found the remains of a mother in a blood-soaked landfill 70 miles from her home in Oregon after a grueling month-long search.

Kara Taylor, 49, went missing last July and her disappearance triggered frenzied search efforts by Oregon City Police.

Now, her remains have finally been found in the Coffin Butte Landfill in Corvallis after a three-day search of the area.

Oregon City Police Captain David Edwins, told KPIC: “Our detectives searched the landfill for about three days — 35 to 40 hours.

“They moved approximately 4,000 to 7,000 tons of equipment with the help of the landfill company.”

I knew it was a tabloid before I even looked at the link name. lol "a blood-soaked landfill" was my first clue. It's bad enough what happened to the woman, do they really have to make it sound worse? :(

Man Who Reported Woman Missing Arrested After He Allegedly Confesses to Killing Her, Dumping Remains

An Oregon man reported his roommate missing in late July. Less than two weeks later police arrested him as a suspect in her alleged murder.

On Aug. 7, Jamon Peter Fritsch, 47, was taken into custody at the Oregon City home he reportedly shared with 49-year-old Kara Rayleen Taylor, also known as Kara Sanders, according to a Facebook post from the Oregon City Police Department

Taylor recently underwent spinal surgery and was staying with Fritsch during her recovery, according to loved ones who spoke with The Oregonian/Oregon Live. She worked as a respiratory therapist and was described as a dedicated mother to her 22-year-old daughter, who has nonverbal autism and requires 24-hour, round-the-clock care.

What's going on in Oregon lately?
It seems there's been an uptick of missing, murdered, and kidnapped women recently.

Warning - Details in this article are disturbing.
