A Eugene mother of two is missing and her family is asking for the publics help to find her.
Katie Goodright, 33, was last seen Sept. 3, leaving her 6-year-old daughter at a family members house before going to stay a few nights with her boyfriend in Creswell, according to Goodrights aunt Tami Gribling, of Redmond.
The daughter called Goodrights dad Griblings brother on Monday to ask when her mother was coming back. That same day, Goodrights father filed a missing persons report with the Lane County Sheriffs Office, Gribling said.
Goodrights daughter had been staying with the family member and Goodrights son had been with his father in central Oregon while Goodright struggled with a drug addiction, Gribling said. Goodright has been working hard to get her life back on track and be reunited with her children, Gribling added.
At the time that the missing persons report was filed this week, Goodrights boyfriend was an inmate in the Lane County Jail, Gribling said, on unrelated charges.
He told detectives that he hasnt seen Goodright in weeks. He has since been released from jail.
We were just floored when the little girl called and asked about her mom, Gribling said. Goodright, she said, has never done this before. This is just so not like her. No one has heard from her, none of her friends have heard from her. She just disappeared off the face of the earth!
Goodright hasnt collected her monthly child support payment or renewed her state assistance food card, Gribling said, so she has no money with her and her cellphone is off.
Were just worried sick, Gribling said.
Goodright is described as 5-foot-3-inches tall, 100 lbs., with blue eyes and long blonde hair.
The family has distributed a flier about Goodright, asking anyone with information is asked to call the sheriffs office at 541-682-4150.
A message to Sheriffs Sgt. Carrie Carver was not immediately returned.
