Interesting that now Katrina is traveling "with a couple that she had recently met," instead of "with her husband and a friend" or "with a friend and her husband."

The previous, ambiguous wording made it sound like Katrina knew the people she was traveling with. But now, given the fact that Katrina "was involved with drugs at the time of her disappearance," the newer details make sense and might actually clarify the ambiguity.

What if Katrina was out that night looking for drugs, and she met up with a random couple who told her they could all get drugs together in Roseburg? While in Roseburg, she overdoses, dies, and the couple (or other people) get rid of her and her(?) car?

Cases with little to no relation or connection between the persons involved are the hardest to solve. Maybe that's why we still have no answers over 27 years later.
