October 31st, Kyra Cardoza's adoptive parents heard from Kyra that she needed her medication for her mental health. Since then, nobody has heard from her.
"She has severe mental health issues," Lisa Smith, Kyra's adoptive mom, said. "She's in psychosis most of the time. She has to take 14 medications a day to stay somewhat stable. She's an endangered and missing person."
Kyra has three children of her own. Two children are with their father in Redding, Calif.; the other father has custody of the third child. Smith and her husband adopted Kyra when she was 7 years old. Once she graduated high school, Lisa says, Kyra decided not to continue managing her mental health. She has spent a little less than a year in the state hospital for her mental health.
Kyra is now 29 years old and has been missing for over two weeks.
If you see her or know where she is, contact Ashland Police Department. The case number is #17-3889.
