What was Kyron looking
Kyron IS looking forward to his annual trip (Shasta Lake), Seaside OR
new fishing pole.. camping & fishing trips

/end

IF..Kyron is still alive which i hope more than anything that he is..i would think hes looking more forward to getting away from where he is and back to his family more than anything else.

He may have confused "substitute teacher" with a "teacher's aide", or "paraeducator" as they are called here.

That is true, it is the end of the school year so maybe this is a new person he didn't know? Also, he truly could have been mistaken or mixed up some of what he heard, that wouldn't be unheard of.

I am not saying the young man is lying, I am saying he could of been confused. He could be accurate in every detail he said. I simply think it is important for us to concider that just as much as taking total stock of everything that he said is fact. Thats all.

They know where he is not.Alive? They checked alot of places. This is very sad.

Extremely sad. He really, truly vanished. Not a speck of evidence left behind. Nothing. Vanished.

Kyron, where are you? We want you back. :(

Again... why I didn't go into photo journalism... if I had been at that press conference...

"Yes, we also know where Haleigh Cummings isn't, where Stacey Peterson isn't and where Natalee Holloway isn't.

See how well that has worked for Florida, Illinois and Aruban authorities?" :banghead:

I know, right? "Oh yes, we're making progess! We've searched this 5 sq mile area, so we know where he's NOT!" Ok, only 5,684,396,278 square miles to go. Let me know how that works out for you.

That has to be one of the dumbest statements I have ever heard in a press conference. Including Dan Quayle.

Reporter asked if it is true that some people have refused to let their property be searched, and the captain replied yes that is true.

Yeah that!!

Isn't that horrible!!

I'm definitely getting that LE is taking the "Baffle them with BS" approach.

I think that ended a nano second after

"We know a lot!"

"What do you know?"

"We know where he's not..."

About the pic posted up thread showing Kyron's classroom. The stairs are right there. It was reported that SM watched him walk down the hall toward his room. So she was upstairs with him and had to go back down the stairs - why wouldn't she walk with him to the room and just go down those stairs? FOR THE RECORD - I DO NOT BELIEVE THE SM IS INVOLVED AT ALL!

I just thought his room must be on the ground floor and not up stairs. Very rarely have I seen two story schools with the little ones (K, 1st and 2nd) graders upstairs. Usually the bigger kids are upstairs.

Maybe the stairs by Kyron's room dump you off way out in the boonies as far as getting back out of the school and that's why she stood at the other end. IDK

The idea that the media is working under any guidelines from LE or the family is disturbing.

It depends on the situation. There has been kidnapping cases (adults only as far as I know) where the person has been killed, or informants that were helping law enforcement and have been killed because the media picked up the story despite LE asking them not to.

I don't know why LE would have asked the media to back off...this isn't looking promising for a ransom/kidnapping case... but I am STUNNED that the media has done so. I imagine they must have some good reason...or have convinced the media that they do. :waitasec:

just thinking about the presser again and wondered about the Officer's explanation of the parents activities (shopping, gym etc).

Perhaps he was doing it to try and shift the balance off the SM. I think every other board, news site I have been on have negative comments re SM. Is it a possibility that the action just now was because they fear a lot of the public have decided who did it and are not opening their eyes/ears to the other possibilities. A few threads back the discussion took the turn of LE knowing who had taken him but being unable to publicize it. Again JMHO

And all the missing children help sites recommends the same thing to parents that the officer encouraged them to do.

He said none of them wanted to do anything normal because nothing was normal now that Kyron is missing but he urged them to do so because they must maintain their mind and body to endure all of this.

IMO

I would hate to believe that LE knows the truth and are still allowing people to volunteer their time, hard earned money, etc.

I'm confused. Under what circumstances would the truth be that it's not possible to find Kyron by searching as they are?

Do you mean something like kidnapped and taken to Mexico?

I think the officer did think it was necessary to address this. He believes the blogger and internet talk is taking Kyron's case in the wrong direction. Why wouldn't he want to refocus the case on finding Kyron instead of people wasting time criticizing and accusing the parents? This is after all about finding a little 7 year old boy who has been missing for over a week.

It is totally obvious to me that none of the law enforcement officers suspects any of these parents of any wrongdoing.

In fact I think they suspect that Kyron may never be found and knows the parents may have to deal with this agony for the rest of their lives. So that is why he knows they must stay strong minded and healthy to be able to endure this if it goes on for a long time or if Kyron is never found.

IMO

Wouldn't it just be easier to say that the family has been totally cleared of any wrongdoing? Just move on? How the family deals with the reality of what may happen doesn't have anything to do with whatever happened to Kyron.

My only thought on the VERY passive media questions is that the PCs are being held on private property (a church) and LE has probably made it clear that they can (and will) prohibit those types of questions if necessary. Any other thoughts?

What is Kyron like? What is his standout attribute.
Very quiet & loving. Warmth & enthusiasm.
Bootsie is the 'security' cat (pet). Kyron likes playing with the cat.
Ernie is their canine (dog to the rest of us, lol)
Quick witted & makes any situation funny. Looks up to his big brothers.

Ok, I thought Kyron had only one older half-brother (the son of Terri)??

Bio mom has other offspring.

:cat:
I know people have ask this question before but have they given all the family poly tests?

Why wouldn't someone let LE search their property?

1.I live in the country in another state. We have the "property rights" people here who I believe would not allow it under principle. Not all, but I bet a lot would have that reaction.

2. Govt and LE paranoids-like the people who will not fill out the census forms.

3. People who are concealing criminal activity. Drugs, burglary items, other things?

4. People who are just plain anti-social and don't care about anyone or anything but themselves.

5. They have Kyron.

Bzzzt. Wrong. The stepmother claimed that she had helped him do it. Said she told him where to put things and that she laminated the project. Again, who knows.
Where is that info from, puf?

TIA

Oh, and if dad helped that means it's not possible that stepmom (or brother or cousin or neighbor) also helped?

1st post here and sorry if I don't do it right . . .

I'm assuming that the laminated comment refers to the display, since it does look laminated (though I don't think I've seen that SM said that). The diorama is the box scene in front of the display. So IF SM said she helped with the board, that doesn't preclude the Dad from helping with the diorama. Nor does it precluded both, helping with both.

Q: Do you feel like you're closer to finding Kyron?

A: Absolutely, Absolutely.

Q: Why

A: Because we know where he is not so that means that we're closer to where he is.

=/
Wow! They must have checked all but a couple of places...:waitasec:

What's the deal? If this a pre-arranged, two-part question, it seems they could have come up with a semi-intelligent answer.

Talking down to people is not the way to ingratiate yourself or cause people to rush in to help.

But then, maybe the whole idea is to keep everyone back.

Well the only thing that makes sense to me is the family and the LE are protecting Kyron AND the Perp.

They keep stating they are looking for a live Kyron....yet say silly things like.. no donations, no reward, no volunteers...

I think perhaps there is contact with the perp, who IS contacting the family... it is like a GAME for him/her .. a game of control...of one mentally sick individual....

LE does NOT know where Kyron is, but, I do believe they KNOW WHO has/had him...

That specifically caught my att'n too.. Brothers plural.

Shulz (got to learn to spell his name) was reading the answers. The family wrote them on the computer. LE (Shulz & buddy) selected the questions out of all the ones the media submitted.

I believe they are talking about random property owners....but, I wouldn't swear to it.

Staton said Friday the plan for today's search included re-canvassing houses in the Skyline neighborhood, noting that searchers have run into some difficulties in checking private property.

"We've had to tell people that we don't want to violate their privacy — we don't care what you have in your car or your barn," Staton said. "We have set aside everything."

http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2010/06/kyron_horman_search_begins_nin.html

The reporter today said...."yesterday you mentioned that searchers were having some issues with searching private property...."

So it was a follow-up to yesterdays comments.
