It could also mean that the message is, along with what LE IS saying:

This is not a stranger abduction. This is not an abduction at all. Other children are not in danger from this perpetrator.

Maybe, just maybe, all the children are safe because LE is sitting round the clock with the person who caused Kyron to "disappear."

Just my thoughts and opinions. NOT an accusation, just speculation.

That plan doesn't really work, though, since the family can just say 'you go home now' any time they want to, which they can. There is also one statement by LE where they say an officer is there "most nights", but please don't ask me which one, cause I don't know, but I saw someone quote that one just today in a post.

If you child was missing wouldn't you want the men who are closest to the information right there in your own living room?

The fact that they are comfortable with the police in their home 24/7 makes lose any suspicion of them I might have held (cynic that I am).

Picture the head of police wanting to camp out in the Anthony living room as they set up camp. Think they would have been welcomed? Think the info the family overheard would have been leaked immediately?
But, we don't have any idea if the Hormans are comfortable with the police being there, basically living with them. The LE spokesperson said, in an earlier press conference, that LE was grateful to the family for letting them be there in their home. How do you say "no" if the police say they want to "set up" in your home?

Maybe if they asked LE to leave they feel that would make them appear suspicious. Maybe one of the Hortons wants LE there and the other spouse does not.

Oh, in answer to your question, and I realize we are all different, I think I can say with assurance that I would NOT feel comfortable have officers living in my home. Lose a child and the peace and comfort of my home, also? The police should be out investigating, working out of their offices. If they need to talk to me, then yes, come to my home and talk to me, grill me, then go back to work. Arrest me if I am a suspect; if not, don't camp in my home.

NO, I don't believe this is protocal for a missing child case.

..but why none with his step mom? Or even his dad or of them all together?. The mom had no problem showing the baby on a public FB. Again maybe just me. SIGH!

Yes....at this link....many of them. One at the zoo, one at Halloween, one with all four of them in snuggies together.....LOTS...like I posted above a total of 32 out of the first 54 on this link. So many that I feel guilty about how many pictures I don't have compared to this.

o/t ... Is it more important to find this little boy or that your theory/speculation be right ? Maybe I just don't understand how things work on this forum. It seems we should all be mature enough to put aside our egos.

If that earns me a time out, so be it. Sorry Mods. I'm going back to lurking.

"No thanks"

I just read the 6 pages on this thread, didn't see any news. Is there none today??

I would imagine the family doesn't want LE to go home. Like any case the media is probably camped out at the doorstep - or as close as they can get. Being normal, everyday people, that can be quite intimidating.

And we all remember what could happen when LE ISN'T camped out (Hopespring Drive)

Who was the perp in that case? Was that JH?

Seems to me they cover all the angles by keeping a liasion there.

JH seems right, but I am having one of my duh moments. I think these liaisons are a great idea and you're they cover all angles. Interesting in that case, Mom had mentioned at one point that LE initially suspected a family member. Not sure if that is why it was 3 weeks or what the reason was.

Mitch!!! God, I love that kid. Forever and always.
Yep, Ben's kidnapping would have gone down just like Shawn's but for Mitch.
BTW, with Shawn's, right in the middle of the kidnapping somebody drove by on a 4-wheeler. That person never noticed a thing. Not even with repeated door-to-door canvassing asking what vehicles they'd seen on that particular afternoon. It didn't register.

yes, and this is what scares me the most. most of the kids that day probably were focused on the science fair and noticed many people they didn't recognize and the whole day for them was unusual, even without this instance. i just really feel le has no idea what happened. so so sad.

Just looking at the photos released, we have no idea how many photos TH was in with Kyron. They were obviously released to show him. And then again, it seems that maybe TH is the one behind the camera most of the time?

Lord help me if anyone analyzes my personal photos. You'd be hard pressed to find any of me---with or without my family.

I havn't seen any new news today. It is the last day of school however.

I saw those photos with SM, I find it odd though as none is she looking at him or touching him. Does that make sense? I just do not see attachment in the photos between them, I do see it between dad/him and SM/daughter. But, those could just be these photos and maybe there are others that show it.

MOO.

I would think they are under an LE-investigaton family-dynamics microscope and they don't much care. Plus, their e-mail is being monitored, their phones are tapped, the FB contacts have been analyzed to death, work people looked at, lots going on digging with this family's contacts (all 4 parents & even older brothers) for a possible known-to-Kyron-and family perp.

Behavior to me (and IMO) is easily interpreted as that of a family desperate for their child to be found saying "yeah, please c'mon in and see if you can help us find something that points somewhere - we are at a loss - we need help".

Length of stay - If it were up to me to decide the length of stay of my LE liason, I'd want LE with me explaining to me what's going on every minute of every day - I'd consider it a blessing - if not comforting then at least something that might help me breath. Also, I'd feel like a target - for the original criminal(s), for voyeuristic media, and for crazies in general - and I would appreciate the protection & the oversight.

JMHO...

Hey locals - was there anything new on the noon news out there?
Hi, I missed it and was wondering if they are still searching at Sauvie Island.

Tonight at 7pm is the candlelight vigil being held indoors at a church. I wonder if LE will have undercover officers looking at everyone who goes in and out? I think it is possible. Even if they have their eyes on someone for the instigation of the crime, there might have been an accomplice. I'm wondering if that person might live on Sauvie Island? There is some connection that has perpetrated LE's searching there like they have.

It also could be that person, if there is one, would stay away. However if that person doesn't go it might look odd if they aren't there.

Wish we knew more. :waitasec:

(snipped)

Lt. Gates said it was. There was also a very good post a few threads back posted by a forensic physiatrist.

CN2Souls

I have not posted on this board yet, but others, I just will make this statement and then
“No More Comments” LOL

Because I have worked with/for LE for over 25 yrs,
My works consist of analyzing the minds of perpetrators and victims. (Forensic Physiatrist)
Absolutely nothing is normal when your child is missing!!!! I have seen total shock and denial to catatonic bed ridden in the hospital.
I believe that this is definitely a different kind of case; they know what they are doing, we do not. However, if it saves Kryon life
I am all for it.
I want to say, LE is doing an outstanding job. I have been taught through many ongoing LE education classes that there is a different trend proven to work in dealing with missing children cases. LE is working with a lot of professional brainpower, and unbelievable technology, it may seem odd a lot of what they are doing but it has been proven to work when a child is missing.

Just a footnote: Call me crazy but my children where ZoomBack, I know there for dogs but they work great for kids too. Moreover, I decorate the really nice so they don’t look so bad.
Hey I work with the sickos every day I know their minds. My children will be protected!

I have only one of me with a child I have 11 children. I don't want my picture taken.

I was thinking more on the lines of the pic's I did see he was alone, no other children or people in the pic's I saw

I have lost track of the post where someone asked about the number of pictures where Kyron was alone.....in the link below he is with other family members or a friend in 32 out of the first 54 photos. The last 10 photos were taken after he was missing.

Thank you Raeann for this link. Boy, do I feel dumb because I've obviously missed a huge part of this story, not realizing that Kyron was missing all day and this wasn't discovered until he should have gotten off the school bus and didn't...Wow...The only reason I'm posting this (exposing that I've skimmed through alot of this, lol!) is in case anyone else was as careless as me and missed this piece...Thanks again for the link- very helpful...

I'm willing to bet that LE will be there.

I hope the family doesn't go, however.
