Yes, but I do not understand as to why a car that matches a description that people were giving about a white truck would be allowed to be driven off to basically be cleaned of any possible evidence. Am I wrong here when I swear that is what I have read?

BTW- I think I am just tired and jumping to conclusions because what everyone is posting is making sense to me. Sorry!

You think the dealership is going to clean up evidence of a crime? That's some service.

Once again, it was not picked up by police....that was evident in the video. No chain of custody means no usable evidence.

JMO

Correct.. Besides do we even know if this truck was drove that day? I mean we don't know how many cars they have and what car the SM uses.

My husband said it is not unnormal here for a DA Investigator to visit the home of a victim to speak to the family. Does not happen often but does happen at times when they are trying to protect the privacy of the family .

BBM

Thank you..."home of a victim".

No, I think that would be above and beyond the regular investigation. LE works with the Prosecutor's office, but I think that is when it is obvious someone is being looked at. Then they have to prove the case to the Prosecutor's specifications for arrest and trial, right? I don't know.

Is that true that the Prosecutor visited the Horman house today? Their pickup was towed today? ??? ???

Um...

"The sheriff's office tells me that this truck was towed at the family's request to a dealership because of mechanical problems."

Per the reporter in that video.

Sorry. I didn't mean literally "saying". I was just surprised to find out it was just towed for mechanical repair. Was expecting something bigger/relevant.

No worries... I think we're all just obviously on edge around here, so terribly distressed at imagining what has most likely happened with a spectacular young man.

I am going to assume that LE already combed over the truck, and any other vehicles the Hormans have ... but then again, maybe not. We really don't know what vehicles they've searched - if any. If they weren't able to search the truck before, they wouldn't suddenly have the ability to search it just because it was being towed to a dealership for repairs.

I'm just not getting the truck. They have it towed for repairs. The sheriff's office itself tells the news station that. I'm missing something.

Oh My Goodness. I just figured out why I have not slept the last few days. I mean normally I pray for those that are missing and victims and fall off to sleep.

I just went to search for a update on one of the other cases that has touched my heart greatly and noticed our little Kyron looks like Adam Herrman in some ways ( Adam being older)

Could you post the link please for LE stating not kidnapped? It may be a fine point, but I'm interested in this one because I think it may be distinguished legally from the term abduction.

Just to note - I don't recall LE saying the case is unique. It's extremely rare to come across a unique case.

It is in the media thread, this was discussed about 4 threads ago. The discussion was determining what "unique" meant. I believe it came from FBI on the possibly the early show last week. Maybe someone else can clarify, it is almost 2 am where I am. I will ck in the morning to see if there is a link, otherwise I will dig. "No" to kidnapping comment came at the end of a presser IIRC. Night all.

just an observation:

media must be on stake-out watch @ Kyron's home area - to catch the tow truck like that, and the neighbor's home search, etc...

media TRIED to get statements today out of LE. media was told about a war room and they are not allowed in...

(see video links posts above)

So...my observation is that media seems to be trying to stay on this story and be in the right places.

I think it was very irresponsible for the news to post the video of the truck being towed. That causes unnecessary speculation. This was not an LE tow--there was no police presence there--period, end of story. If they thought it was bogus they would have followed it. My guess is that is was towed so they wouldn't have to be chased by the media to the dealer. Sheesh!

In some ways a VERY good thing. Keeps this little guy in the media...internet, TV, newspapers!!

Where does it say it was suddenly? They may have had it scheduled for weeks waiting on parts to arrive and the dealership just now came to get it. The family may have just received a call saying "parts are in we're coming to pick up the truck."

If it's anything like my dealer >.<

I would think they need both vehicles.
