Please dont hit me with a trout yet anyone-what were Kyron and the rest of the kids doing from 8-845AM for their portion of the fair then? Were they explaining their project?

In one overhead photo of the school in Thread 1 (page 10) there is a business located close to the school. Does anybody know what that business is and what kind of workers or customers would be coming and going there? It looks like a larger building, with several cars in the parking lot but not an office building. More like production or construction?

It has been mentioned in a few sources that there is a fire/rescue station right by the school, could that be what you are looking at on the overhead view?

I will not try to explain or justify anything I wrote because I am concerned that I will make it worse if I attempt to explain what I was getting at. I am sorry. I didn't mean to offended you.

Angel you didn't offend me at all. The media has by focusing on the comparison of Kyron's freehand writing and his computerized project. I find it hard to believe that with a 7yo missing for over 72 hours, they have nothing better to do then to go in his classroom and videotape his freehand writing style. IMO the media should be ashamed of themselves. moo mho

Not sure that any of the new security measures would have prevented what happened. Paraphraising that as I was doing something else when I heard that.

I'm flabbergasted that not even something as small and simple as employees wearing a badge so everyone could see if they belonged there or not was implemented.

This case screams to predators everywhere to head to small towns to find their prey. I hope parents everywhere will review their school's security measures, and join with other parents to get them tightened up as necessary. Our children are precious - we need to treat them that way.

I honestly don't think family dynamics have anything to do with this case either way; the photos are nice photos, but IMO most people would not post photos of their family on public sites unless they are nice photos. That said, IF this tuns out to be a case of something closer to him, I do not think it stemmed from family difficulties, in other words, more of an accident or a spur-of-the-moment type thing that went wrong. And that is just an opinion and again, only if it turns out to be a close to home situation rather than a stranger abduction or a wandering boy. JMO

The reason I disagree with you here are because of some of the candid photos. Pictures that no one else would see as special, but a parent or someone who loved the child would. Like with Kyron at the little piano. Nothing really special about that photo, but the taker of it saw a sweet little boy and the moment touched them and they snap a pic. I think those little photos show how he was loved.

The closest store is Plainview Grocery which also sells autoparts.. It's a mom and pop type store, it's right at the intersection of Skyline and Corn Pass..

Regardless of chaos or not at school during fair, it is hard to believe that someone could remove a 50-lb child without being seen if child did not know and willingly go with that person. Also hard for me to believe than any 7-yr old these days would go with a stranger, although I know things don't stick in kids heads, but not going with a stranger starts at aboout age 1, I think. I just cannot picture a stranger-abduction in this scenario...the more people about makes it less likely to me, rather than more likely, but this is just my opinion. A stranger would not know if the person nearest is someone who knows the child and would object, etc..JMO

I cannot emphasize enough how easy it is for a child to go with someone. Stranger danger is good up to a tiny point.

Strangers are not the same to children as adults. They are at a different brain development level than adults. Even adults go with strangers. We hear about missing adults all of the time that went off with a stranger.

Donot ever rely on the fact that your child knows stranger danger. It is not reliable.

A school= no strangers to a child.

Is there something besides the pictures without any comment about any kind of comparison that I've missed? An article where a reporter is doing some kind of comparison? A video where a reporter is talking about differences in Kyron's various school work?

There are many pictures here of Kyron with his older step-brother. They look like they had a good relationship. jmo
He has been in his step-brother's life since he was a baby.

If you look at photo 19 the backpacks are hanging up in the classroom. At first I wondered if maybe there was a coat closet in the back of the room where the backpacks and coats were hung,so the teacher wouldn't have seen if his backpack was still there.Obviously this is not the case as you can see they're in the room. With him already being seen that morning and all the parents and students going into rooms with the science fair, too bad she didn't see there was definitely a problem. As it would have been more crucial to make sure all students were accounted for.

I also see where the school,in hindsight, have put safety measures in force.I've never known a school not to have parents sign in and out in the office, that's unbelieveable.

I wasn't saying that I agree or even know why they did. Just offering ideas of why they might, rather or not they are good reasons or what not. I am glad that I didn't offend you cause I wouldn't offend anyone on purpose. Thank you for responding. :blowkiss:

From what I have read - 8:00 - 8:45am Kyron was with his mom showing his project and answering questions for others. (mom drove Kyron to school)

At 8:45 mom walked him to his classroom, where he was going to join 4-5 children for a tour of the science projects. Don't know how many groups of 4-5 there were supposed to be. The tour was to be from 8:45 to 10:00.

Mom waved goodby and thought her son was going into his class room on the 2nd floor.

He was seen later in the am 10:00 - 11:00am by another student at the south entrance.

That's all I know and even that could be wrong. lol

TY for the info and a couple of comments:

1.) I am stunned that teachers wearing badges and people signing in is a new security measure. That blows my theory that this would be a relatively easy investigation sky high. :(

2.) There is no way they think Kyron is inside the school if they are keeping the school open, imo.

1) I'm amazed it doesn't occur to them that it could possibly be a teacher who did something with him.

2.) They could be wrong about that.

It seems that during that time, parents were bringing in the children, and the children were showing their own and other projects to the parents.

Normal school bell is 8:35, and late bell is 8:45. I saw one insinuation that the school doesn't normally open as early as 8 as it did on Friday, but that could have been just the way I was reading it. I've been keeping an eye out for what time the school normally opened.

Those of you with young children - would it be normal for a school, on a normal day, to open 35 minutes before the first bell? That seems to me to be a lot of time for kids to be at school with nothing to do. When my son was young, I would drop him off maybe 5 to 7 minutes before first bell - just enough time for him to take off his coat, unpack his homework, get settled at his desk, etc.

I was wondering the same thing. I've just seen the pics, with no commentary. I just thought the pics were nice. A way to show us another side of Kyron. Maybe an odd, reporter way. But getting us to know Kyron a little bit more, nonetheless. Unless I missed something.

My first post here, I really hope they find this little boy.

As for playing games like Treasure Island on cell phones, as far as I know you cannot. Treasure Island runs with flashplayer and so far there aren't any smartphones that support this. You can update Facebook, add pictures, etc. but not play flashplayer games.

But, if you have a laptop/notebook you could if you're somewhere with wifi.

Praying this little guy is found safe very soon.

TY Eyes!!! No more speculating about mom from me, btw. As well as being a victim here, I am hard pressed to see how it could have happened. There is an hour and 15 minutes of unaccounted time (in the media) anyway and little control over entry/exit for the school....ugh.

Hopefully, family can communicate to LE the liklihood that Kyron would either keep going if lost or would sit down and wait if lost.... :(

That makes me feel more like whoever did this interacted with them beforehand, could have even been another parent. My child would not be going back until it was figured out :/

The closest Jim Kelley I can find is 4 something miles away, on Dierdorff Rd, the address is actually Hillsboro. I don't think it's him though, because I don't see any RR tracks and it said he only lived a mile and a half away.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sou...42,-122.862682&spn=0.036918,0.054502&t=h&z=14

Where are the RR tracks they're referring to?

I have yet to find them Billylee. Right now I am on a map that is a maze of RR tracks. Is there a local that knows?
