The only statement that I recall LE making about the family speaking to the press is that they are not ready, that they are too traumatized. That came from a Saturday PC.

When my kids have a poster or project to take to school, they always want me to drive them so that it won't get smushed or broken on the bus. A little thing like Kyron would have a hard time carrying all that science fair stuff all by himself! Don't you know he must have been proud of his display! He obviously took care to make it nice and neat. I feel sorry for the poor kid with the white poster at the next desk in the picture!

Once distraught parents get in front of TV cameras, it's hard to know or control what they'll say. E.g., seeing his biological mom angrily blaming his stepmother for "losing" him might encourage him to stay put (and make it easier for someone who's holding him to convince him not to try to make a run for it).

I agree. We saw very little of Nadia's parents during the search. I think it really depends on the parents and LE. I really don't see how an impassioned plea is going to convince some pervert to release the child if that's the scenario of what happened. Plus, look what's happened to other parents who have done pressers, especially poor Diena Thompson. I literally cried reading some of the horrible comments made about her...with everything else she was going through, that was just disgraceful. I personally feel it's best if the family stays in the background and allow LE to do their job.

What could the reasons be for LE not wanting to say WHO last saw Kyron at around 9 am inside the school?

If he was standing by the exit door, it has been asked if he was waiting for a ride from someone. Got me thinking....

If someone suggested to my 8 y.o. second grader that he ditch class and wait by the exit door to be picked up - he would NOT. He would be afraid to get in trouble by the school and by me. Now, if I told him I was going to head out to the car, let him finish looking at the exhibits and then pick him up around back, he would.

From my understanding the kids were supposed to be in class at 8:45 to get into groups. I don't believe he got in a group. And if that is the case, what was he doing by an exit door at around 9 am? Didn't someone say there is a restroom in that area also?

I have firefox and I have no issue watching the press conferences. As long as you have the plug in to go with it... which required you allowing the pop up window that firefox will block.

Yes,that's her name,Davidson I believe is her maiden name,because in whitepages looking up when her and Kaine were married,she had another last name of a M,also.So,I'm wondering if there was another marriage with Desiree,her brother and sister,Terri,Terri's older son and some other relatives of the Hormans,are all on a young man's FB list with the M last name.He lives in Portland and looks like Kyron,actually,maybe cousin,IDK.

Holy crap! Look at how many of the 198 sex offenders in Multnomah County have a victim profile showing little boys. There are 30 sex offenders that are KNOWN to molest/rape little boys. Eight (4%) of these creeps were listed as “Wanted” (no known address).

I am absulutely not concerned that the family isn't speaking to the press. In fact, it is the right thing to do. The focus should be on Kyron, not his family at this point. I am sure, like LE said, if it were beneficial to bringing him home, they would speak.

I agree- the focus should be on Kyron. However, I think it's odd they haven't made a plea. It makes me think that LE/the family doesn't believe this is a stranger abduction.
