I posted earlier today, there's a Jim Kelley listed as living on Deardorff Rd. It is about four miles from the school though, it's the closest one I could find. It's a road off of Cornelius Pass rd, but I doubt it's him, unless he's moved closer.

Wait, I can't find this. Is it in white pages? I see a SE Deardoff RD, but not at all close to the school.

Thank you. Are they spraying roadsides and public tracks at this time of year?

They are spraying roadsides, yes. They spray areas that are owned by the cities and counties too. The issue is that the 4th of July is coming and they want to make sure the brush is down so as not to create fires. Oregon does allow fireworks.

Was Kyron supposed to be in the talent show that day?

A couple of the other kid's parents have said so in the media.

No one from LE or his family or the school itself have confirmed this.

IIRC

I dont know if this was posted or not.

Kelly Ramirez, the sister of Kyron's mother, Desiree Horman, issued a statement today on behalf of the family thanking the community for their concern and support.

"The incredible support we have received is overwhelming. To the numerous agencies, search and rescue teams and the community there are no words to express the gratitude we feel. You have worked tirelessly on Kyron’s behalf and continue to do so. At this point the most important thing is to get his picture out there. We encourage everyone if you would like to help this is what you can do. Print out his flyer, put it on the counter of every business you go into. Kyron needs to be seen. Above all do not give up hope, as we certainly never will. He is out there and we are going to find him and bring him home safe where he belongs."

Question -

Did Kyron set up his project for the science fair that morning? Or was it done the day before?

  • #186
The article says

After attending a school science fair Friday morning, Kyron Horman walked down a hallway toward his classroom as his stepmother watched.

Could just any one attend this science fair?Maybe they should ask who people remember seeing at this fair.Any body could have just walked in?

I am not sure why Jim Kelley is being investigated here? Is it because he reported a sighting of a truck in his area?

  • #189
The only thing I know for sure is at times you will be going down a road, and you will see homeowners who have posted "don't spray" signs.. to notify the county not to spray their side of the road...

OH! I missed the other question! They are sprayed by ground. I've never seen a cropduster in Oregon in over the 10 years I've been here and I live around a lot of farms.

Shelby said authorities don't want to give out information that could contradict a potential witness's recollection, but the school has a good idea of when Kyron was reported absent.
"We don't want to cloud anyone's recollection," Shelby said. "We'll defer to the authorities."
An autodial system used to report absences in all Portland high schools and middle schools was not yet installed at Skyline Elementary, Shelby said. The system has been installed in 37 of the district's 57 schools.
Shelby said the system would have alerted a parent's primary phone number at about midday that his or her student was absent.
Kyron's parents didn't attend the news conference Monday, and Gates said they didn't want to comment to avoid interfering with the investigation.

Sorry. My computer keeps freezing up on me.

We just want to put the truck sighting on a map.

White truck attached.

How do we know this is their truck?

(computer keeps freezing... if this posted earlier, sorry for duplicate)

Have you tried looking in the county tax records?

Gates said THEY didn't want to comment to avoid interfering.......NOT that LE told them to avoid commenting.....two completely different statements..

One is voluntary....one is at direction of LE...

Just trying to keep the facts straight, ma'am!

My fault! Since he couldn't be found at any address, I was concerned it may have been a rumor that a white truck driven by a woman was seen twice on his dead-end road.

Puf put up a link of LE searching - so I guess that settles any rumor possibilities. Some seem to think it was step-mom driving the truck twice down that road so I wanted to be sure of accuracy. Sorry! moo
