Have you tried looking in the county tax records?

I couldn't find him in two different background checks - maybe his land is in trust or he is renting. moo I'm not concerned anymore. lol

How do we know this is their truck?

(computer keeps freezing... if this posted earlier, sorry for duplicate)

I think it is just being speculated that the white truck Jim Kelley is referring to in media reports may be the same white truck that is shown on photographs (alongside a red Mustang purported to be SMs) on Facebook that is parked on the Gorman's property?

Gates said THEY didn't want to comment to avoid interfering.......NOT that LE told them to avoid commenting.....two completely different statements..

One is voluntary....one is at direction of LE...

Just trying to keep the facts straight, ma'am!

Someone in the family made a statement. That should be enough for now. IMO, they don't need the media in their face so people can try to judge if they're distraught enough or whatever. That post said pretty much the same thing I did on the last thread, that there are kids who need to be interviewed and information needs to be held close not only to protect the investigation but to prevent 'contaminating' their recollections of what happened that morning.

I don't get how saying, "We want to thank all the searchers and volunteers who are handing out fliers for their efforts. If you have seen Kyron please call the tip line. We love our son and want him home. We won't take any questions. Thank you." would jeopardize an investigation.

(and that is pretty much the statement put out this evening from the sister of the biological mother.....nothing from Gorman's yet)

I'm really trying to understand why it should matter if the family (or anyone who has a loved one go missing) chooses not to make a statement. I honestly don't get why it seems to upset people so.

We just want to put the truck sighting on a map.

What about this map you posted this morning, RR, in an earlier thread?

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=15725+NW+Sheltered+Nook+Rd+Portland,+Or&daddr=11536+NW+Skyline+Blvd.+|+Portland,+OR+97231+to:Cornelius+Pass,+Portland,+OR,+United+States&hl=en&geocode=FdZYuAIdHC6t-CnF13BDzQCVVDHhEaqh9vreLg%3BFa_qtwIdVVqt-CnBGfok4waVVDFNzFyHxWOQ-A%3B&mra=ls&sll=45.625864,-122.854872&sspn=0.036915,0.054502&ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=45.621842,-122.862682&spn=0.015788,0.055189&z=14

I think you took the information from this report:
Kelley, who lives about a mile and a half down hill, at the end of a winding, secluded country lane off Cornelius Pass, said police, federal agents, K-9 teams and helicopters scoured the area Saturday.

http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/i...inues_hun.html

I remembered it because it surprised me that the sighting of the truck was only a half mile from Kyron's home, while the school is about 3 miles away from home and the sighting.

The closest Jim Kelley I can find is 4 something miles away, on Dierdorff Rd, the address is actually Hillsboro. I don't think it's him though, because I don't see any RR tracks and it said he only lived a mile and a half away.

Where are the RR tracks they're referring to?

And I can honestly understand why they wouldn't make a statement, especially if they watch the news or jump on the internet at all. God forbid, if I had a child go missing my last thought would be doing interviews for the media.

She was speaking for the family. The Hormans.

I think it might be the website....mine keeps hanging up too, but only on this site...

LE have got videos and pics from that day.

I wonder if someone captured something, like a good lead and that why they are going to search WA?

Their concern is for their child. Not satisfying people's morbid curiosity. I just want to see LE and the SAR teams find this little boy. I'm so afraid that this isn't going to turn out well. :(

Washington is a mere bridge away from Portland.

What incorrect information was the stepmother referring to in this statement from kptv?

The first reference of Kyron's disappearance on Moulton Horman's Facebook page came Saturday at 10:16 a.m., when she posted, "Please don't listen to the news. It is inaccurate. We will give details as soon as we can.

So does mine.....:banghead:

My poor old computer isn't used to moving so fast lol.

Didn't Gates say they'd try to have another press conference this evening? I'm glad to hear they're keeping the public up to date on how the search is going.

Just my opinion...I'm thinking that she (like everyone) heard that Kyron was last seen by SM when she dropped him off at school at 8:45am. Since we now all know better (she didn't just drop him off, but instead went in with him to view and photograph the science project), that is maybe why she said don't listen to the news...
