It's sad that with so many missing kids around that age we first suspect the parents/caregivers because in so many cases in turns out to be them who is responsible.

Yep,it sure is true,I just feel in this case,it's not.The activities of that day,was an open door for something to happen, all the different people in the school. And I don't think that was too bright of the principal to mention it was field day coming up.Happenings in any school should not be broadcast, like the sign up in front of the school announcing the science fair that day.Parents knew about it,it was open to them, not the whole public.

Well, the FBI was all over the Kayleah case too....and it took a county worker to find her in a ditch a month later...JMO

I'm not saying he will or will not be found quicker.

My point was, I'm sure FBI is helping local LE decide what info should be released to the press and what info should not because it may hinder the investigation.

The 'criminal investigation' comment from the principal makes me think they have someone in mind and they do not want to tip that person off.

Am I allowed to discuss scanner chatter here?

Can someone name the streets around school and area in question, TIA

Maybe that was why LE stopped the pc abruptly - when the Principal mentioned field day coming up. I don't think so though. It seems it was when media was asking questions. It has to be him saying criminal investigation.

Our school puts all of that type of stuff up on the reader board outside the school. Sometimes it's the only way I know something is coming up (if I don't get the flyer home from school).

We need to post scanner info in the scanner forum only. This is so that we don't inadvertently start rumors in the public forum.

If you heard something significant, please post it in the Scanner Forum and then we can evaluate it to see if it can be posted in the public forum.

Hope that makes sense!

BBM

Not if it will hinder the investigation.

LE knows what they should say and when they should say it for the sake of the investigation.

The last thing we need is a slip up from a school staff member that will hurt the investigation.

IMO

Amen. I want Kyron fully protected, and I trust LE and the FBI because of their knowledge, training, and experience to know what is best for Kyron's safety and rescue right now.

I think so. Let me get the school address and post some streets unless someone beats me to it.

I'm glad he's getting national coverage. FoxNews and MSNBC both had his story on this morning as well.

I don't know what to think about this case. For awhile we thought Kyron was at the school until later that morning. Now we know he was last seen about the time stepmom left. I don't think something happened in those few minutes to make him run off into the woods for some reason. He was allegedly heading to his class. He had an awesome science project that I'm sure he was very proud of and eager to continue showing off. He had fun activities scheduled for the day.

Posting streets here would be helpful! I'll copy them to the scanner forum to help there too.

ETA: You are FAST, Jules! :highfive:
