my first take on the vw pic was that there was no way it was him. but then i too came across this pic and what concerned me actually wasn't kyron in this pic, but what is behind him in this pic. what is this youtube vid you are speaking of, don't believe i've seen it.

That's the zoo behind him.

I'm not JBean, but she recently taught me that all pics need a link for copyright reasons. So if you can link it, you can post it.

Just don't be going into a private site like a private MS or Facebook and copying one. That is a :nono:.

thanks... yeah I am not sure what that was. I posted and then the pic was removed twice. It is of him and it is from a news story and it was linked. oh well.
..moving on

I think the best thing to do with the VW pic is to call it in to LE, so they can do their job and check it out.

What I do is call and ask for an email address I can send links to, and then I write it up and send it. It's easier than explaining it over the phone to them. Sometimes if you ask for the email address for a detective that specifically working on the case, they'll give you one, and their phone number, and then you can call back in a couple days and confirm they received it, and ask them if they have any other questions about it. Frequently they do!

That picture of Kyron was posted with a link to the news site from which it came. You can still see the link in my quote of that post below.

I haven't seen it confirmed that Kyron's backpack and coat were dropped off.

I've never seen it said that Kyron was in a group of students.

I've don't recall ever seeing that the displays were in the gym.

Could you tell me where you're getting this info from?

TIA

Unfortunately, these threads are moving so fast I can't say for sure; the dropping Kyron, coat in classroom, etc I believe I read in an article, she took his picture in front of his display, walked with him towards his classroom and soon before getting to the classroom door they say their goodbyes? Perhaps I also saw a comment and mistook it for a snippet from an article?

K, found it. So i misunderstood the setting up his display elsewhere. Then :

They arrived sometime after the school opened about 8 a.m., went to his classroom, dropped off his coat and backpack and he showed his stepmother his exhibit, "The Red-Eyed Tree Frog."

Horman, who has raised Kyron since he was an infant, snapped a picture of him standing in front of it that she later posted on her Facebook page.

And then:
At 8:45 a.m. when the bell rang, Terri walked her stepson down the hall close to his class.

"He told her, 'I'm going back to the classroom, Mom,' and she waves to him and left," Carol Moulton said. "She thought he was safely at school just like he is everyday."

What happened to the boy who went missing is unclear.

Is Kyron's teacher still teaching or is she on paid admin. leave pending an investigation or has she taken a leave due to stress etc? (Not sure what the correct wording should be other than is she still teaching or not.) IIRC I read a statement she gave but wasn't sure if the situation had changed.

Just curious how school district's handle severe situations as this.

Excellent question. Her and the substitute too.

Oh boy, I must WAY overshelter my kids. I have 2 boys Kyron's age and I thought Shrek was racy in places. LOL!

This made me laugh. My kids are 7, 5, 5, and 3, and there's no way they'll be watching CSI or Bones anytime soon. My kids don't know what "rape" is. They don't know the mechanics of sex. I also don't want them to be desensitized to blood and gore and violence, and the special effects on those shows are really good. I can't imagine allowing them to watch that sort of adult-oriented programming anytime in the next 5 years, at least.

(I also thought "Shrek" was a bit racy. Hee!)

That being said, my boys have tons of shirts handed down from cousins, as well as shirts my mother-in-law buys them on really low end-of-season clearance, and their clothes aren't necessarily a reflection of their interests. So I can see Kyron's CSI shirt just being a cool shirt someone got on sale, at a thrift store/garage sale, or as a hand-me-down. It is an odd coincidence though.

About the video with the Kyron-like child in the front seat: I think it is almost certainly a coincidence. However, it's kind of a weird shot in the video. All the other cars were being shown stopped with people being questioned. The shot of the bug was face on, with no context. Just... a shot of a little boy in car (and a woman wearing black gloves in June.) Weird.

Imagine you're putting this little montage together for the TV station. Why include that clip? It seems out of place, with no context.

If I was of a more paranoid frame of mind, I'd think this was a sign or message to someone -- that the TV station did this on instruction from LE, who wanted to signal something, to someone.

But I'm not really that paranoid. Most of the time.

Carry on!

Didn't know you were talking about a specific pic, sorry. I was just giving you a general answer. :innocent:

good info
I emailed and left a message earlier with the url. I assume many others did as well... or I hope so..so that the tips don't get lost

If I may ask, someone here posted something along the lines of seeing pictures of Kyron and things being neat and orderly in bins in the background. Also comments about a lot of clothes that looked to be hand-me-downs for Kyron for when he's older.
Where were these seen? Is this from the FB page? Thanks :)

It's really confusing, because his display was set up in his classroom. I just don't think the newspeople understood that. They may have gone to other classrooms to look at displays and then come back.

i apologize for not being very clear. i've seen that vid, but the post i referenced was talking about a better vid or something with the boy having a terrified expression.

bah... sorry

if you go here

you can put in a URL and download and keep any video off youtube

you can choose different qualities when downloading

Phew! Thought I was the only one, hee hee! Matter of fact, after seeing the previews for Toy Story 3 in 3-D, I was surprised at some of the lines i was hearing in that, and its rated PG!

I wonder if some hacker posted that photo to that news story as a joke...using the white VW mentioned in one article and making a phony photo to go in it...that makes more sense than anything else to me...especially how car is angled...

Hello all, first post. I'm just so frustrated I can't just lurk any longer! I'm not leaning towards Kyron wandering off of his own accord, but seeing the photos of the incredibly thick and tall grasses and brush are so discouraging. I honestly don't know what to think at all. I guess I'm just commiserating, at least there's small comfort in seeing how many people are reading and posting and wanting this little sweetheart home.

BBM

You know, this has got me thinking. With Kyron only missing a week, and the grass being so tall, wouldn't there be signs of activity/disturbance in the tall grass had he and/or his abductor been there? Just a thought
