Today at 2:47 p.m. officers were called to Mt. Hood Medical Center where a woman, believed to be a danger to herself, left from the hospital’s care. Police are now searching for 34-year-old Lacy Mae Erkkila. Erkkila is a white female, 5-feet-10-inches tall and 140 pounds. She was last seen leaving the hospital wearing a blue hospital jacket and teal scrubs. If anyone has any information as to the whereabouts of Lacy Erkkila, please call 911.

I wonder if she took her ID and phone with her and was wearing shoes. Unfortunately, if she hasn’t been found by now, I’m not expecting a good result. But we can hope.

If Lacy walked along SE Stark St where the hospital is, she’s only a little over a mile to the Sandy River. It’s further to the Columbia River but doable. I hope dogs have been used and the river areas searched.

I hate being such a pessimist! But I’ve seen this too often on WS.
