Holy jeez. Don’t know how I missed this update. Is there any new info?

Police are still stating that likelihood is she ended up in the water (based on video evidence and where the scent dog last tracked her). Police say missing Astoria woman walked out on pier and may have entered water I understand FB rumors from the family who with to hold onto hope, but 29 is actually considered a bit old to be trafficked (most trafficking victims are 12-14). I grew up out there, the currents in the river are such that most people that enter the water deliberately or accidentally are not usually found.

I eventually happened upon the very heartfelt fb posts of Maya’s sister. There were some things that sounded very strange and mysterious but boiled down to the most likely scenario. I wish that family so much peace. Maya appears to have been an extraordinary woman.

Her mom must be so relieved to have an answer after all this time. I hope her family have found comfort in knowing. I hope Maya is at peace.
