Found Deceased OR - Meighan Cordie, 27, Yamhill County, 18 Aug 2018

I poked around the website for the wedding venue. They require music to end by 10:00 pm. Usually that wraps up the event. No music and the bar likely closing. The bar was limited to beer and wine served by licenced bar tenders who try to not over serve guests.
Meighan family must have stayed until the bitter end of the party. I have catered weddings for 20 years and usually people with little ones leave pretty early. Maybe the kiddo was in the wedding?

But we're not really sure this is 8 miles from where she actually got out of the car, right? Didn't I read that the mom was unsure of the exact area that Meighan got out (b/c she was not familiar with the area and it was dark)? As has been said by others, I imagine the autopsy will provide some answers for her family.

She was found 8.4 miles from where she reportedly got out of the car.

Wow, RIP Meighan! :(

Do we really think she walked for 3 hours to that place? It is certainly possible I suppose, especially if she didn't know where she was.

Well she was in the middle of nowhere with no shoes and no phone. If you accept that she got out of her mother's vehicle at the reported location, then it would seem that she had to have walked to where she was found.

If her injuries are not consistent with injuries she could have sustained at the location where her body was found, then something else must have happened and she probably didn't walk, there.

Or she was pushed or jumped from a moving car...
My hunch is that someone saw her walking along the road (without shoes!) and offered her a ride. Quite understandable she'd prefer a ride to walking barefoot in the dark. And then it got ugly.

I hope I'm wrong, as an accident would be somewhat easier to bear. Very sad story.

The ME will know by looking at the condition of the bottom of her feet if she walked a great distance barefoot. IMO

Blunt force trauma can mean she fell and hit her head on a rock. It may have been a tragic accident caused by a series of unfortunate decisions.

I cannot even go there if this is anything but an accident....

If there are holes in this particular story...LE will find them fast, IMO.
I am waiting for 'foul play not suspected' to hit MSM. Or just being very, very hopeful... JMO

Her family has enough grief to deal with without having a cloud of suspicion hanging over her mom. There is a 3 year old grandbaby who no longer has a mommy to hug and cuddle her each night....I can't fathom how this was intentional.
I hope I am not being naive about this one...

Something is not adding up here. If my child left the vehicle I would not leave the area and I would have called 911 immediately. My gut is telling me something is very fishy here.
She could have very well been hit by a car. However, I can’t get over the fact that she was reported missing the next day??????

I am suspicious of every guest that left late after the wedding. What a lousy beginning for the newlyweds.
I hope the blunt force trauma is the result of something benign. I'm thinking not. :(
Tragic death and deep trauma for Meighans loved ones. Heartbreaking.
