PRINEVILLE, Ore. – Two sisters who attended the Symbiosis eclipse festival near Prineville earlier this week have not been heard from since Sunday.
The parents of 18-year-old Melissa Lea and her younger sister reported them missing and said they last heard from them in the Bend area on Aug. 20, according to the Crook County Sheriff’s Office. The sisters are from Lake Tahoe.
Deputies determined Lea used her debit card at Symbiosis on Tuesday. More than 30,000 people were expected to attend the festival at Big Summit Prairie, in the middle of the Ochoco National Forest.
Lea is driving a black Toyota SUV Sequoia with California license plates.

Melissa, 18, and 7-year-old Kalila Lea are believed to have attended the Symbiosis Event in Big Summit Prairie, Oregon, for the eclipse, according to the Crook County Sheriff's Office.

Their parents didn't know about the festival and last heard from the girls on Sunday when they were in nearby Bend, Oregon.

Melissa called her mom around 10 p.m. and said they stopped in Bend to spend the night after getting tired from the drive. Her parents are unsure where they stayed.

Melissa's father, Darryl Lea, said that is the last time AT&T logged any activity on Melissa's phone. When her family tries to call, it goes straight to voicemail and iMessages are undelivered.

But according to the family's bank, Melissa's debit card has been used twice since the call: on Monday in Oregon and on Wednesday at a grocery store in Petaluma, California. The bank sent Lea a fraud alert for attempted charges in Petaluma at a grocery store.
The girls may be in a 2006 black Toyota Sequoia, with California license plate 5SWB598.

Melissa is 18 years old with brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet and 7 inches tall and weighs 115 pounds.

Kalila is 7 years old with brown hair and hazel eyes. She is 4 feet tall and weighs 45 pounds.

So, the 18 y/o took off with the 7 y/o and the parents didn't know? And then they are in Bend OR at the same time and didn't take along the 7 y/o? The daughter calls and tells them they are spending the night in a hotel, but they don't ask where? Me personally, when my kids are staying with ANYONE else if I get a call, I always answer. I suppose they could have not have cell service. I hope this works out positively for these two cuties. I wonder if they were meeting up with someone or if anyone else went with them?

I wonder if they got lost. Petaluma, where the credit card was used, is south of Lake Tahoe. Either that are Melissa knows she is busted for going to the festival and isn't excited to return home.
