As I had been suspecting all along...

And I'm still wondering where exactly the fire in the house was, and if it was possibly started by the same person who LE is still looking for? I know where I'm placing my bet.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has now confirmed to KOIN 6 News that it is a homicide investigation but there is still no suspect, nor has anyone been charged with a crime. The investigation is still ongoing, officials said. Last week, the sheriff’s office said its Violent Crimes Unit was assisting with the investigation.

That's a very valid point. I'm still thinking someone other than the mother may have committed their murders. Especially since the fire from a month or so ago is part of the investigation (discussed upthread).

Yeah i'd definitely lean that way too especially with "still no suspect", just saying there's no distinction made in the article at least. LE are often very literal in their language and often don't like to name anyone a suspect until they've got a clear picture of things, i've seen the media mislead in those kinds of way before.

Three months have passed since a mother and her three young children were found dead in their Cornelius home, and authorities have yet to release new information about what happened.

According to Washington County Sheriff’s Office Deputy David Huey, the investigation remains ongoing as officials wait for results from the Oregon State Police Crime Lab that could fill in “important pieces that still need clarification.”

There is no estimated timeline for when those findings might arrive.
