  • Distinguishing Marks/Features: Missing tooth on upper right side. Tattoo of a peacock, eagle, and a sailor girl on shoulder and forearms of both arms. Appendectomy scar on abdomen.
  • Clothing & Personal Items: Maroon zippered down jacket. Grey flannel shirt. Blue denim jeans. Brown sneaker type shoes or boots.
  • Identifiers: DNA and fingerprints available. Missing tooth - third tooth on top right side.
Circumstances of Disappearance:
Bakeman left his brother-in-law's residence on December 31, 1994, after a verbal altercation. He was last seen the following day at his family's ranch in the Glide area of Douglas County, Oregon on January 1, 1995. He has never been heard from again.

No one witnessed Bakeman leaving the ranch on the day he went missing. He was carrying a small revolver for protection at the time. A bloodhound traced his scent to the main road near his residence, but lost the trail near the river. Few details are available regarding Bakeman's disappearance and his whereabouts remain unknown.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) - The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after human remains were found in a forested area near Glide last week.

On Thursday, Feb. 16, a teenager had been antler shed hunting when he located what were believed to be remains in the Thunder Mountain area, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies arrived to the area and confirmed it was skeletal human remains.

This case seems like suicide to me... why did he fight with his brother-in-law? What really happened? Maybe he never left his brother-in-law's house... and the smell that the dogs followed means that he was either dragged out onto the road or he was taken out dead... or if he really escaped he went somewhere remote and shot himself...
