Port Orford Police Chief Marvin Combs said the discovery of the skull, and now more bones that are believed to be human, has led to a death investigation of the area in the Anchor Inn RV Park on 9th Street.

Man Confesses to Burying Father Under Port Orford Trailer

"According to court paperwork, Starks told investigators his father died after a seizure in 2010, and he buried the body in a shallow grave near his trailer. The documents said video and bank records showed he got money from his father’s Social Security checks, deposited in a joint account.

"Starks is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday in Cass County, Minn., where he was arrested. The Curry County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warrant for Starks for second-degree abuse of a corpse.

"Police continue to investigate the cause of death and the body’s identity. They have not ruled out further charges against Starks."
