UNSOLVED OR - Portland, Human bones found in River View Natural Area, Apr'17

A family was hiking on an unmaintained trail off of SW Macadam Avenue in the River View Natural Area found human remains.

Investigators said there was dirt, moss and other growth around the bones, which led them to believe the remains may have been there for a long time.

I'm trying to find the access point to the trail from photos and I can't seem to find it. The remains were found on the west side of SW Macadam and up the hill and off of the main trail.

On Sunday April 16, 2017, at 2:46 p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to the 8400 block of Southwest Macadam Avenue on the report that hikers discovered some bones off a trail on the west side of Macadam Avenue.

I just did a quick search to see if there were any news updates that went unnoticed, and was disconcerted to find so many stories of found human remains. In one story, a logger who found a man's skeleton said it was the third time he had come across human remains during the course of his work!! [emoji853]
