Nutter from Tucson update.

About 15 people rallied outside the US District Court building at 405 W. Congress Street, saying someone needs to stand trial for the Jan. 24 death of Lavoy Finicum, who was shot during an operation by the FBI and Oregon State Police.

Across the street from the rally, another group was holding signs that said, "Public lands not private profit," among other things.

Ammon Bundy was surprised by his arrest. "They attacked us, like we were domestic terrorists," said Bundy.

This guy is in the Twilight Zone

Interactive Map: Dozens of rallies in memory of LaVoy Finicum planned Saturday nationwide

http://www.oregonlive.com/oregon-standoff/2016/03/dozens_of_rallies_in_memory_of.html

“Dozens of rallies are scheduled Saturday in Oregon and around the country in memory of Robert "LaVoy" Finicum, an armed occupier of an Oregon wildlife refuge who was killed by state police in January.

Hundreds have indicated on Facebook they will attend the rallies at state Capitols, federal buildings and courthouses in at least 35 states.”

*

“One of the goals for the rallies is to collect signatures for a petition urging state and federal authorities to investigate how Finicum died, said Cherilyn Eagar, a spokeswoman for the Finicum family.”

There is a map showing were the rallies will be. Maybe there is one near you. If anyone goes, can you take pictures?

LaVoy Finicum’s widow tells Utah rally her husband was murdered during Oregon standoff

"The day my husband, LaVoy, was murdered, assassinated by our government, they had been invited by Sheriff [Glenn] Palmer to speak to the citizens of his county in John Day," she said at the Capitol in her first major public appearance since her husband died.

Jeannette told the 200 to 300 well-wishers gathered on the Capitol's south steps that she believes LaVoy was trying to show police he was no threat when they shot him at a "kill stop" they set up on an Oregon highway.

"All he did was help his neighbors stand up for their rights," she told the crowd. "He didn't do anything wrong. Where in Utah is the governor and our state representatives to help my husband? Why is my husband locked up in a box for nothing? I have six children who don't know where their dad is."

Not to be disrespectful, but aren't the F children older, some are adults? It's sad, but don't make out like they are babies. Holding her hand on her stomach like she's pregnant and all...drama. Could just be the reporter.

I think the Finicums have about 10 children, all are adults, and all but 2 are married. Something like that.

The other one talking about the six kids is David Bundy's wife. The article is confusing and a little disjointed, imo. And, with that many kids and a house to build, David should have stayed home.

A new group to me. I wonder how they differ from other people protecting the earth. Just a thought, doesn't need an answer.

"We are troubled when LaVoy Finicum prior to his Malheur refuge involvement, urged Utah ranchers not to pay grazing fees and promised militias will come to their defense in the process," said Bart Tippetts of Mormon Stewards Protecting the Earth. "We urge Utah citizens to work within the due process of law rather than through armed threat of force."

The youngest of the 25 people indicted after the takeover of the Oregon wildlife refuge lives on the Tulalip Reservation with his girlfriend and infant. They were planning to marry, then he would join the Army. But he was arrested instead. Their lives have gone haywire.

TULALIP RESERVATION — It was about 10 in the morning when law-enforcement vehicles pulled up to the modest home where Eric Lee Flores, his girlfriend and their 6-month-old baby daughter were staying.
