Police seek help finding missing, endangered Salem woman - Salem Reporter

Priscilla Aldana, 43, of Salem, was last known to be in the area of Southeast Lancaster Drive and Southeast Hagers Grove Road around 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20. She was reported missing on Monday, Dec. 23.

I'm guessing she has more children than just the referenced minor children left behind. Marion County court records shows history of child support (she was paying) that goes back to 2003. ETA a lot of rumor on social media and speculation by friends and family as to whether foul play might be involved. I hope that speculation turns out to be inaccurate. Her page is public so people are commenting under her posts.

A body has been found in a vacant lot on Lancaster Dr. in Salem. I am hoping this is not Priscilla. There is no indication of who this may be yet.

Missing Salem woman found dead in vacant lot, partner arrested

A man in Salem was arrested after his domestic partner, who had been reported missing, was found dead in a parking lot with a gunshot wound to the head.

On Jan. 3, Salem police discovered the body of 43-year-old Priscilla Joann Aldana in a vacant lot in the 3000 block of Lancaster Drive Southeast. The Oregon Medical Examiner ruled her death to be homicide.

During the investigation of her disappearance, detectives were led to 44-year-old Erik Mauricio Meza as a suspect.

Meza and Aldana were in a “domestic relationship,” Salem police said.

On Thursday night, police arrested Meza on charges of murder, abuse of a corpse and arson.

So sad. Just another day that ends in “-y”. Same old story, same old song and dance. So depressing. It’s absolutely awful how quickly you can tell from details in the initial reports or social media chatter that someone was almost certainly killed by intimate partner violence (it’s usually women, but definitely not always women.)

How many cases like this are catalogued on WS? The percentage of total cases here must be staggering. Why do so many people hurt the ones they “love” (and why do so many of those people turn to people who will hurt them)?

May this poor woman rest in peace. I hope whatever is after this is kinder to her, because nobody deserves to be murdered, let alone by someone they trusted at one point or another.

Priscilla’s sister, Delia Aldana, said she was remembered as a wonderful mother, friend and person.

“I’ve gone through so many emotions,” Delia said. “I’ve gone through broken-hearted sadness, madness, anger, I mean, you name it.”

Meza and Aldana were in a domestic relationship, the Salem Police Department said in a news release Friday.

Prosecutors said in court documents that Aldana’s death occurred between Dec. 19 and the day she was reported missing, Dec. 23.
