<<Circumstances of Disappearance Richard was last seen at the Medford Airport after renting a silver truck. He was supposed to follow his sister and drive from the airport to Yreka, CA. Richard never arrived to Yreka and the rental truck was found several days later, abandoned in a parking lot in Gold Hill, OR near an access point to the Rogue River. Jackson County SAR responded and searched the river and surrounding area for several days. Richard was not located.Family believes that he is "living off grid" and doesn't want to be found. Details of Disappearance​

Walzer was last seen in Medford, Oregon on February 18, 2022. He was driving a rented silver Nissan pickup truck at the time and probably had a full-sized camera with him. He has never been heard from again. Over a week after his disappearance, his vehicle was found abandoned in the parking lot north of the Gold Hill Sports Park. Few details are available in his case.

According to this poster/flyer, Richard is a registered sex offender, out of compliance since 2021.

He also has tattoos on his upper right arm, right ankle, and right shoulder

Details of Disappearance​

Walzer was last seen at the Medford Airport in Medford, Oregon on February 18, 2022. He rented a silver Nissan truck there and was supposed to follow his sister from the airport to Yreka, California. He never arrived in Yreka and has never been heard from again.

On February 25, the truck was found abandoned in a parking lot of the Gold Hill Sports Park outside Gold Hill, Oregon. He had left his cellular phone and other belongings inside the truck. A search of the Rogue River, which was nearby, turned up no sign of him.

Walzer's family believes he may be living "off grid" and using an alias and may not want to be found. He is supposed to register as a sex offender, but hasn't been compliant with that requirement since 2021. There were indications that he was in Kansas, Virginia and Iowa in 2024 and 2025. His case remains unsolved.
