He looks like Brian Jones.... But @Caring1 , you say he's excluded?

Well, everything but the face would exclude him, so I guess that answers my question. They even know where his body is. Why would this count as a missing person?

There are a lot of "known to be deceased but no body recovered" cases included in Namus just so they can be matched against unidentified cases like this.

Maybe. Sometimes a page is taken off line so it can be updated, like if they got advanced DNA results or a second autopsy or something. If it's still gone in a few days...*fingers crossed*

I can’t check my file at the moment, but if I remember correctly the NamUs solved cases for Oregon also went up by one case and this one was the only UID that was removed in the previous 24 hours or so.. To me that indicates a solve but we can’t be 100% sure.

I really wish that we still had robust local newsrooms in this country. To me, this deserves to be publicized a bit. When a body is found in a public space, and the public is asked to help ID the person, I think the public deserves a little more information once the decedent is identified.
