Came across this case researching another and I did not see a thread for her here. Haven't searched any further but it smells a bit funny and definitely should be solvable.

There is an article on the left hand side, stating that a witness saw her get into a semi truck between 5 and 6 am. Short article. Names boyfriend and tells what the witness saw.

Shannon Elizabeth Rishel: A Redmond mother of two, Rishel was reported missing by her boyfriend July 9, 1995, when she was 25.

Jeff Gilmore, of Bend, told investigators the two had been driving on a dirt road near the Columbia River town of Rufus when Rishel’s white Camaro became high-centered.

Gilmore said he fell asleep and when he woke up the next morning, Rishel was gone.

Authorities found the clothing Gilmore said she was wearing as well as her purse, identification and cigarettes inside the car. Gilmore, then 20, told investigators that Rishel had a change of clothes with her on the night she disappeared.

The area where Rishel’s car was found is bordered by 800-foot cliffs and officials have speculated that Rishel may have wandered off and fallen.

Investigators combed the area and an air search was conducted. Diving teams also searched two small ponds but turned up nothing.

Details of Disappearance
Rishel was last seen on a dirt road near Rufus, Oregon on July 9, 1995. Her white Camaro became high-centered. Her boyfriend says he fell asleep and when he woke up the next morning, Rishel was gone.

Her purse, identification, cigarettes and the clothes she'd been wearing were found inside the car. Rishel had a change of clothing and was presumably wearing that when she disappeared.

The area where Rishel's car got stuck is near the Columbia River and bordered by 800-foot cliffs. Investigators speculated she accidentally fell, but an extensive search of the area turned up no indication of her whereabouts.

She lived in Redmond, Oregon in 1995 and left behind two children. Her case remains unsolved.

I have the impression that Shannon was given to someone... maybe her boyfriend has something to do with it... was it proven that she crashed because she fell asleep? I imagine that the guy means that he fell asleep at the wheel and that only he was unconscious and she escaped? And if that was the case, why didn't she help her boyfriend escape? I think they were fighting, he lost control and then God knows what happened that they crashed... he knows more than he says...

I always wonder where exactly you come up with your “impressions”…Occam’s razor is that she wandered away and fell from one of the 800-foot cliffs that were in the immediate area of where her car became stranded.
I don’t know why you would just randomly accuse her boyfriend at the time of harming her or selling her into slavery?? Do you have any sources whatsoever? Or do you just read these threads and then post whatever you want regardless of the TOS and the fact that you never cite any MSM? You get away with it because you begin everything with “I get the impression that…” which is a semi disclaimer that the things you write after them are your opinion. But honestly, it would be nice if just once, you explained WHY you have these impressions.
Respectfully, it’s very frustrating to see a thread bumped up to the top, open it up hoping for some new, legit information, and to find the bump is a post by you that seemingly doesn’t agree with the other stated facts of the case.
