Yes, I referenced this conversation. But it is good to be reminded. I wonder LA claimed he was going to jail and just bailed on WY.The relative thing is interesting though...

Hello OUOTP! I am glad that you mentioned it already. LA's name along with her name, caught my attention. Intelius has the relative's last name with an error, an R instead of an A, but as in genealogy, misspellings are common in public records. LA is also listed with addresses around Salem, Silverton and Turner. All in the Mid Willamette Valley. I didn't get street addresses or time-frames, only the cities. I still have a lot of reading and news clips to watch to get caught up on this case.

I don't think the bird, son whatever we are calling him on here is at all responsible for Stephanie's disappearance. I might have said so before but I changed my mind. I think he's good guy caught in the middle of a ***** storm . I mean I wish he'd come out and say what he thinks but maybe he's just scared.

Personally, I never did think he was responsible. He may know things after the fact, but I'm not sure. But "good guy"? I'm not going to rip him here, but I've seen enough not to go that far. Time will tell.

JMO, MOO, IMO

ETA: I hope you're feeling better! Take care.

Good to see you, Sas! :seeya:

Random question for you all: Have any of you received a message from an unknown on FB wanting to be friends? Just curious, IYKWIM.

Also, I've checked the basement and wondered if any of you have seen a thread or have a buddy-type system worked out with anyone here where you've exchanged information if, heaven forbid, one of us were to become a topic of one of the threads?

It was just a thought I had and wasn't sure if there was already something in place.

I saw a JCSO vehicle this morning and a news channel vehicle on one of the back roads on my way into work this morning; the adrenaline rush was crazy. Of course, I initially thought of Stephanie. I wish so much she could come home to her loved ones. :please:

BBM

Do you mean a friend request from someone possibly involved in the case?

I'm not sure I understand your second question. I'm not wise in WS ways, although I do know about the basement.

I can imagine your adrenalin rush. I wish for news.

Well, I wasn't sure initially, but now I think it was just a total random and it's merely coincidence. I probably shouldn't have said anything and just sat tight.

The second part of my question stemmed from wondering should I go missing (for example), if there was anyone here who knew enough about me to put two and two together with my identity and my profile and know I was one in the same. Many of us have said if we would want each other on our threads if we ever were ever in need of one...and I was just thinking literally, I guess. A little creepy, I suppose, but it's never anything anyone ever expects to happen to them. Thinking more about it though, our contact/friends lists would be most helpful if it were ever needed. Am I making any sense? *chuckles and drops my head on my desk*

I'll quit talking out loud now. :floorlaugh:

It makes perfect sense, Kodi. It's actually a good idea.

This might actually be a good internet idea: A site where you can go to put packages together for yourself. Put your photos, fingerprints, dental records and other pertinent info together. Then again, maybe not ...

Or at least have a Manila envelope with all that info labeled "To be opened in case I disappear." Give it to some trusted people. And be sure to include your WS name!

There is lots of family in that area.

I tried to quote you, Lilibet, but it's not working correctly.

I just had to share...as I read your last post and your comment about your husband asking for charts, I envisioned a scene from a crime show; complete with POIs, interested parties, locations and lines all drawn between them showing how they're connected and you explaining it all to him. I've watched way too many shows apparently, but it gave me a chuckle. =)

You couldn't quote because I was deleting some of the stuff I wrote. I said too much, but the chart got deleted in the process. Glad you caught it and got a chuckle. :)

That's exactly the kind of chart he was asking for! I'm also going to have to include WS screen names, so he knows who I'm referring to here. I guess I'd better get to work.

I agreed -- not a good guy. But, in my opinion, still a kid. A misguided, emotional kid who has been under the cult-like influence of a monster his entire life. And, I should mention to folks on Stephanie's thread, I do get facetious in writing some posts but they are less about him and more about the way this whole case has been handled from the beginning. There has been probable cause to support an arrest from the day Stephanie was reported missing. Using a bit of sarcasm is my way of tempering the anger I'm feeling about Henderson's investigative work. I don't want to write a post that is angry and scathing -- but I could. If I get to that point, it's time for me to leave the forum. None of my sarcasm is intended to diminish the importance of this case. If anything, dispensing a bit of righteous indignation to get under the skin of Henderson may cause him to up his game. As I've said before on WS, feel free to sail on past my posts -- I ain't mad at ya.

What I really believe:
Since July 4, Stephanie has been a twinkle in the night sky; the man who put her there is someplace unknown, armed and lying in wait for the battle he's been promising everyone and announcing online; the person responsible over the past 2 months for bringing him in has ignored ample evidence and would rather spend his time dallying in public relations efforts than finding the killer.

And that all these facts combined add up to a very serious and potentially explosive situation.
.

Thank you Neptune for the warm welcome, and for telling me about this case! I look forward to catching up on all of the information, and helping in any way that I can.

I've created a Twitter acct for Stephanie. I have been signed up for Twitter since it started but have never really used it. So, basically I have no idea what I am doing.
So far, I do like the convenience of seeing only relevant news pages in my feed. I have re-tweeted all the tweeted news articles I could find regarding Stephanie.

I was thinking the EXACT same thing this morning even though I really try not to...
I have been keeping strange hours--- I woke up at 3 am this morning and took a walk through my quiet neighborhood. The stars were so bright. As I looked at them, I thought of Stephanie. It really hit me hard. I started to cry...

This past week, I have chatted with many people who are close to Stephanie...

As an aside to all of you--- One of these people I have been chatting with reads this forum religiously. She called it a "lifeline". A few days ago, when the forum seemed to be still, she asked if we were giving up. I gave her my word that I would never give up. I hope none of you will either.
You are all doing such a great job not just with your sleuthing but by giving hope.

Thanks, QUOTP, for sharing with all of us the information about your chatting with those close to Stephanie. It's hard hard on us here at WS, who have never met this dear woman, I can't begin to imagine what it's like for her loved ones. This case has been perplexing been from the start and all we want is for Stephanie to find her way home. Perhaps today will be the day that we really start to move in that direction. If not, there is always hope for tomorrow.
