About her living/not living with BF - I'm confused about reports that she was married or had just gotten married?

fyi - Link to video you posted works for me.

Also your Things We'd Like to Know and Things We know are great summations! Thanks for good work!

Apparently there was some sort of commitment ceremony? But not legally married. From what I gathered upthread someplace.

Someone who is close to the situation posted that it was a "spiritual ceremony" or "spiritual marriage" but not a legal one. That post has been deleted because the poster wasn't a verified insider, so everything was rumor. I wish she'd come back. She had some great info pointing in a certain direction that we can't talk about.

Just stopping by to say that I can't find anything new about Stephanie. She is in my thoughts and prayers along with her family and true friends.

I'd like to think she has purposely disappeared for protection, but I don't think the evidence points in that direction. She didn't leave on foot. Her car left and returned late at night and in the wee hours July 5. Hiding "evidence"? Who stands to gain from her disappearence? Follow the money? Was someone angry at her? Or did she know too much and need to be silenced? Who had motive and opportunity? She wasn't reported missing by her mother until July 8. Plenty of time to clean up a crime scene. Someone out in the Applegate knows something. I hope anyone who knows anything has enough integrity to tell LE. They need a break in order to solve this. JMO

This article from a local TV station is pretty much a repeat of the notice on the JCSO FB page, but I thought the comment was interesting. I think the commenter must be confused.

There was a short announcement on KOBI news a few minutes ago. If there is video I will post it.

Hi everyone!

I'm here and check ws almost everyday. I don't post much but I am reading! A HUGE thanks to all of you!

I'm so excited to hear about the flier distribution. Wish I was there! That comment is weird. I don't know anything about that.

I was told I don't need to be verified (I wasn't in contact with Stephanie at the time of her disappearance) but the mods know I'm an old friend. So I can't talk about what is going on now (as an insider). But y'all are doing great! I have learned so much here, more than anywhere else. Great questions, Lilibet (3 posts up)

Thank you all, again!

It's so good to have Stephanie's dear friend here, for-Ashley. You keep us inspired. We will hope for a good turnout on Saturday. Hang in there!

Good to see an event planned to raise awareness for Stephanie's disappearance!

Has the family offered a reward to put on the missing poster? Sometimes that helps spread the word. Did Stephanie have an employer? Maybe Ruch Country Store would be willing to donate something toward a eyewitness tip that leads to an arrest and conviction (or however that works) ???

Lilibet you are True Grit. I hope if I ever go missing you are my thread advocate!

LOL. So good to see you again Neptune. I was about to send out a search party for you! St. Bernard, flask and all. :) Please don't go missing! We need your smarts behind the scenes.

I do hope there is a reward. Stephanie wasn't employed, but she volunteered for Jackson County Fuel Committee, a non-profit that is helping to spearhead the flier campaign. Family and Ruch Country Store contributing is a great idea if the money is available.

I'm thinking I will email a few local TV reporters and beg them to cover the flier campaign on Saturday and post the video (for a change) on their websites. Then I can post the link and you all can see it. I'm doubtful that I can be there, but I really want to know who (ahem) shows up from Ruch.

Here are some interesting snippets, some of it new to us, from the Mail Tribune article CatFancier posted above:

BBM

Detective Eric Henderson said Warner's neighbors, friends and boyfriend, Lennie Ames, have all been questioned in an effort to find the missing woman. Detectives and search-and-rescue crews have repeatedly searched Warner's home and surrounding area to no avail, Henderson said. (Correction: Ames' name has been corrected.)

"There is no indication she left the area," Henderson said. "There has been no activity with her bank account, and we have had her vehicle at the sheriff's office since July 9."

Leads have been few in the missing-person case, and Henderson hopes Saturday's flier distribution will bring new information.

"We've had just a few, small, handful of tips," Henderson said. "All have been followed up on."

Warner's family, who live in Louisiana, called to report her disappearance. Her mother stated it was unlike her daughter to go without contact. Warner's family created the flier that will be distributed in a further attempt to located the missing woman, he said.

The flier states Warner typically wears a small, metal cross necklace fashioned of nails and bronze wire strung on a long black cord. Her tattoos include a green peacock on her left thigh, a woman's face in profile with a large butterfly in her hair on her right thigh, and a pink flowered vine with an owl sitting on it on her right ankle, Henderson said.

Considering the case of myself being a BF who doesn't report his (my) GF missing.. (just a hypothetical case) If my gal doesn't have immediate family/friends in the area to checkup on her, would I believe the disappearance would go unnoticed? Maybe just wait till someone in her family reports her missing and then tell LE she had split and I have no idea where she is? Would have to say we split up, otherwise wouldn't it seem extremely strange not to report her?

I just sent emails to the news tip section as well as individual reporters at all three local TV stations asking them to cover the flier distribution and post video of their coverage online. Here's hoping!

Great questions! I guess hypothetical bf could hope it went unnoticed to buy time for "whatever". Actual bf repeatedly said he was "baffled" by her disappearance and acted clueless.

BUT, he was still portraying himself as Stephanie's boyfriend/fiancé. I'm thinking if hypothetical bf said they had split up, he'd be putting himself at the top of the suspect list with a motive. IDK, maybe he could say he thought she had gone out of town, or something. That's still fishy though. Who doesn't keep in touch with a bf or gf when on a trip?

And her car was still there, but "operated" late evening 7/4 to early morning 7/5. I don't think someone took her to the airport in Medford. The last flight out is about 8:00 p.m. and there is nothing until 5:00 a.m. if I'm not mistaken. JCSO says there is no evidence that she left the area. Sooooo, where did that car go in the wee hours? Off road somewhere?

I really hope bf and his son show up for the flier distribution and get interviewed again.

OT - One thing I like to do is talk in terms of something hypothetical and/or relate it as if I'm a bad guy - I believe this way I'm not accusing anyone who's not been named a POI and I stay with WS TOS.

I wonder if anyone's been asked to take a polygraph? I would think if a gal I was associated with went missing, LE might ask me to do so. I'm sure I'd be at the top of their suspect list since no matter what story I might say ("we parted as best of friends", etc.) as a suspect why should they believe me.

Also, any family members of mine who might offer an alibi I would think LE would be suspect of...

I would think LE would check my pattern of phone calls, social media, etc. to see if there was a gap, a blank spot around the time my GF went missing - figuring I'd be too busy with foul play to be active on social media.
LE might also check phone/social media of my friends or in my case my son, looking for similar drop out...

Hypothetical is good, OldSteve. In fact while you were posting, I was editing my post to be more "hypothetical." It's SO hard to be good!

I hope hypothetical bf and son would consent to a lie detector test. But some people are suspicious of LE, so might not.

I actually did inform LE about a gap I discovered (hypothetically speaking LOL), but can't post about here. They've never replied, but at least it gives them something to chew on, I hope. Or else they think I'm a nutty old lady! :floorlaugh:

I was alluding to the work you did when I mentioned checking for dropout in a person's online activity. That was really good and I would think LE would have sent some kind of acknowledgement for that - strange.

Thanks, OldSteve. That got deleted pretty fast, and for good reason, so I wasn't sure you knew about it. I don't know why they didn't acknowledge it either, except that I made it clear that I don't know Stephanie or her friends, and was just passing along research. But I'd at least like to know it got to the detective. It wasn't as easy to find as Facebook gaps, so they could easily miss it. IMO

I was lucky to have seen the work you did checking into media gaps - I really hope LE looks at it! I've seen a few cable channel ID crime shows in which an important clue or tip is brushed aside - only to be discovered and used to solve a case years later when it's reopened as by cold case investigators.
