Tomorrow it will be nine months. Surely there must be someone who has a piece of information they can share with LE, no matter how insignificant or far-fetched. At the very least, an update from LE would be nice. :waiting:

Yes 9 LONG months. I agree Lilibet an update from LE would be very nice. Please keep us posted if it makes the news tonight. Thank you Lilibet. :loveyou:

I never thought we'd still be here nine months later, wondering where Stephanie is, and now wondering where POI Lennie Ames is. But even though we don't have official answers, and we are frustrated by official silence...we haven't given up.

And if LE and POI are reading here, WE WON'T GIVE UP sleuthing, pushing for answers and expressing our opinions!! Stephanie's case has committed supporters, even though most of us never knew her. We aren't going anywhere.

To all who post, "thank" posts or silently follow along on Stephanie's thread...:tyou::tyou::tyou:

To all those in LE working on Stephanie's case, thank you and please keep going. Maybe it's time to go back and talk to people again. Someone knows something!

And above all, to Stephanie's family and friends, know that we care. Our hearts go out to you on the fourth of each and every month, and in between.

JMO, MOO

You know, it would help a little if LE were to give some hint about why they named Lenny Ames a POI.

As things stand, it allows people to go around making accusations of lynch mob mentality etc without anything out there to counter that.

It's only three months until Stephanie's one year anniversary. That's long enough to become a cold case, almost. Does Oregon have a cold case unit? I'm a great fan of them myself.

Wow, apart from Portland, I don't know about cold case investigators in Oregon, but this daughter spent 15 years sleuthing the POI in her mother's case. The POI was eventually found too. Old habits die hard; the drinking that led to her being charged over a fatal DUI, also led to her being found In Canada 15 years later, where she'd fled after being charged.

She's reported to have boasted about her crime to the community there, and they reported her.

Without linking back to the MSM quote, Lennie Ames was named a POI because he could not be definitively cleared of Stephanie's disappearance. IIRC His story about last seeing Stephanie at the Ruch Market could never be substantiated. But yes, an update explaining this would be helpful.

I think it takes longer than a year to become a cold case. I know of one case over five years old that is being looked at by retired volunteers at JCSO. I happen to know, from an insider, that they are not only re-interviewing people, but also interviewing people for the first time, who should have been talked to when it happened. :banghead: But it's slow going.

Maybe it would be an advantage to have some fresh eyes look at Stephanie's case.

I remember this story last year and was really happy to see this woman brought back here. I felt sorry for her teenaged kids, who had only known life in Canada. What a shock for them.

There was a big commemoration ceremony in Portland for National Crime Victims' Rights week, last week. There was a live webcast, but it says here a recorded video will be posted soon too.

It is nice to see all the people who are willing to stand for victims everywhere, who can no longer stand for themselves. And those people have come out everywhere across the nation; everywhere from NY to Florida, and everywhere inbetween. Small and large communities. People ranging from Senators to DAs and the loved ones of victims who come from all walks of life. It's a very powerful movement which has achieved changes in the law and continues to push for them - even when it is too late to be of benefit to their own loved ones.

It is wonderful how many people care for victims, and getting justice for them, no matter how long it takes.

I haven't been on W'S for a long time. I got on today and came across this thread. I spent today reading the entire thing. I kept hoping that at the end there would be some sort of update or resolution. My heart aches for Stephanie and all those that love her.

I wish there was something I could do to help.

Thanks so much for reading and caring, Mld5557. And Welcome!!! :seeya:

Just being here helps a lot. At this point we are in a holding pattern until something breaks in the case. Stephanie needs to be found and/or forensic evidence needs to be found connecting "someone" to her death.

I don't think it would hurt to rehash some of the things we know, so if you have any questions or theories, feel free to jump in.

:welcome4: Mid5557. Happy to have you on board. There just may be something you can do. Keep your eyes & ears open in GA to see if anything strange maybe going on in Doerun, GA. It is a few hundred miles from Smyrna but I'm sure LE wouldn't mind if they had some extra eyes in GA. You may see something on the news that we don't see. Thanks for being here and taking time to read Stephanie's case.

On this Good Friday as I reflect on my faith in Jesus and thinking about the horrible crucifiction of Him, I sit here wondering how and why did Stephanie come to her demise. I pray that as Jesus rose from the dead on that beautiful morning that the same may happen for Stephanie. I pray the person/people who know of her whereabouts are touched by the Holy Spirit to come forward and lead LE to Stephanie. It has to be a horrible feeling knowing where she is & holding it inside. I hope and pray that the time has come for answers. I pray that Stephanie's family and friends can have a nice Easter despite her abscence. Wishing all the WSers a Happy Easter and may God Bless everyone.

This morning the church bells were ringing out across the town, everyone here decorates their trees and bushes with pretty colored eggs, and my garden was full of spring butterflies because I've planted a special little butterfly garden just for them.

I couldn't help but think of Stephanie. I wish she could be found safe. If that's not possible, I just wish she could be found.

Another lady very close to Stephanie's home has been crying out for justice. I am glad to see that has been done at last. Kristy Huddleston of Medford was murdered by her husband Bourne Paraday Huddleston and he left their 10 year-old son to find her body.

He's been given 25 to life but Jackson County did try for a minimum of 45. I don't think that matters anyhow. Judge Mejia gave made devastating sentencing remarks about the murderer's character and recommended he should never get parole; something the Judge said he had never done before:

'You are a person who is amoral, antisocial, you have a lack of ability to love, to be empathetic to anybody and your primary concern is yourself and your needs....I feel sorry for your mother, I feel sorry for your son. I have no sympathy for you sir.'

Huddleston's sister, Genetta Huddleston Coradetti of Florida, goes on trial later for allegedly helping her brother try and hire a hit man.

Well done to Jackson County for putting victims first, and helping make the county a much safer one.

ETA: I should add, his sister is charged with helping her brother try and hire a hit man, to kill a hit man HE had tried to hire to kill his wife and was giving evidence against him. Unbelievable. So glad that man's locked up.

Kobi has an article up too now: http://kobi5.com/news/item/convicte...dleston-gets-life-in-prison.html#.U1GQIssaySM

Regarding the Huddleston trial, Websleuths was mentioned. :(

Detective Brandon Bloomfield with the Southern Oregon High Tech Crimes Task Force also took to the stand. Bloomfield inspected computers that were in Huddleston's possession. He said he discovered what Huddleston may have looked at online.

"I found the user had been to a website www.websleuths.com and one of the things that would have been viewed at that website was captured in this article: 'Most common ways husbands murder their wives and get away with it' and at the bottom 'Most common ways wives murder their husbands and get away with it," said Bloomfield.

Lilibet, if I recall correctly, wasn't it the So. Oregon High Tech Crime Task Force that was given Stephanie's laptop to examine? I sure hope they were able to find something incriminating on it! Seems as though a lot of work was put in on the Huddleston case as far as computer forensics. I hope one day we will see one of these Officers testify in a case to get justice for Stephanie.
Computers don't lie & God don't sleep!

Hummm, Huddleston was on WS, I wonder who else is on WS??????

Yes, I believe you're right about the High Tech Task Force, but I'm too lazy to go back and look. :) If the computer survived the soda spill, it may have some very incriminating info on it. I really hope they can get enough evidence to find Stephanie and bring this case to trial. I would be there in a heartbeat!

It's creepy to think that Huddleston was on WS researching. Anybody can read on WS without joining, so anybody could be here lurking. Maybe someone else knows of some high profile lurkers or members in the past.
