.....it would really put the cat among the pigeons to ask their press department in what way they are associated or supportive of the poster using their film, but that would be too wicked.
It really gets on my nerves when people rant about big corporations and then happily use what they provide when it suits them. It's not like a bank or something, where there isn't much choice - our posters make missing youtubes all the time, using just creativity and co-operation and hard work, and all sorts of ingenuity. So many of the families of the missing just don't have the money to buy licensed music or film, but there are always alternatives available.

Yes, it's fair usage or something isn't it? But it does have to have a credit and I still don't think Sony would like it if they saw it.
Also the fact that the audio has been altered at 00:29 to reference "King Obama".
In all the hoopla, I never did mention that DT Henderson returned my email---He wrote that the Longview, Kelso and Cowlitz County Sheriff have all been notified.
I believe that he and JSCO take seriously all of the tips that come in. In the email I received from Dt Henderson, he also explained that there have been numerous possible sightings but none turned out to be Stephanie.

Agreed. For me it's not an issue of having the time, but having the stomach for it.
The YouTube posting that we are discussing is the first one I've ever actually looked at all the way through. And then when I noticed Mel Gibson in it, my prior life as a paralegal responding to copyright infringement notices kicked in.
I think we discussed her use of the word "daughter" at some point in connection to the Lethal Wolf family role players. To me it just shows that she viewed him as her teacher and protector. The brainwashing had taken effect.
Or perhaps she was actually referring to an actual daughter of his, if he has one. I've tried to figure out who his kids are, but I'm not sure about daughters.
We didn't receive any instructions to the contrary when the thread went back up, so I think we're good to go.

I just heard back from Mike in the legal team at Sony Pictures Entertainment. The clip of The Patriot being used on YouTube may not get taken down right away but it will be reviewed as soon as possible for lack of credit and altering of the audio. Proper action will be taken!!!!!

No we don't. I think we expected the case to be solved sooner, but I've been thinking lately that we need that. It's getting unwieldy. Does someone just take the initiative and start it or is there a WS protocol for that, like needing a mod? Are media and timeline separate threads? Timeline needs links, right? I'll take a look at a few threads like this on other cases to see how it's done.
