IMO- He either lied to LE about his identity, had fake identification or failed to provide legitimate identification. He tried to mislead them them as to his actual identity.

I checked and LA is still in the Fort Bend County jail as of earlier today. JF was arrested 1/11/23 in the same county but is no longer listed as being an inmate. I'm hoping JCSO knows that he's being held and can bring charges while they have him. C'mon DNA!

I still can't believe the gall of LA, JF, DIL and DIL'S mother to have stayed IN STEPHANIE'S HOUSE for two months, 8 weeks or more. Ugh. Is anyone aware of police reports reports of assault or domestic violence involving the mothers of any of his children or ex partners?

JF was listed as a fugitive in Nov 2022 (mugshot posted upthread but no longer showing details), so they must have caught him. Here’s hoping he was moved to a different county. He sure looks scruffy!

2019 is right - Sissy's house was auctioned off; I don't know if her beloved SUV was ever auctioned off - it may still be at the sheriffs as evidence.

So here we are, good people. July 4th, 2023 and no charge, no arrest. I don't even begin to know what to say - it's been a very difficult week for our family, leading up to the 4th of July; the 4th of July isn't a day we celebrate anymore... It now lives as the day my son's beloved auntie Steph was taken from him; it was the day my Sissy was taken from me. You'd think that after 10 years, the grief would have started to abate; grief for a missing, beloved family member doesn't go away.

We KNOW who killed her! GODS the man changed his story about where he was, who he was with, who took him up to camp, when he came back to Stephs house, numerous times! His DNA was on the blowing device in her car; we KNOW he was the last person to drive her SUV, we KNOW the time he drove her SUV. The fact that he was named as first a "person of interest" then changed to a "Prime Suspect" and that all other people he pointed his filthy, malicious finger at, have been cleared and he is STILL walking free, literally makes me feel nauseated!

I believe with the evidence, even without a body, ANY jury would find him guilty! The man is a piece of scum! He looks like it, he acts like it and he's changed his story, publically, over and over again. He wouldn't know the truth if it bit him!

He is murderer. He is free to walk the earth, possibly hurting other people! My heart is broken and it just makes me sick.

Keep your loved ones safe and let them know how much you love them, every day. You just never know when a nightmare like the "prime suspect" will strike someone close to you.

Thinking of Stephanie, her family and friends today. It’s been a long ten years. My heart goes out to them, with the hope that there will be DNA results leading to arrests soon.

I came to Stephanie's case because of the connection to where I grew up - Louisiana. Same as Stephanie. We grew up a couple of hours apart in different parts of the state but like her I left for other parts of the country.

I still can't get over how guys like LA can do what he does and deprive everyone else of what Stephanie could contribute to the community. And he is still walking around. Disgusting.
