As of 9 a.m. on Friday, October 17, the search for Thomas Weightman continues.
Continued search efforts coordinated by the Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue (SAR) team are underway, and searchers are asking residents along Gales Creek Road for help checking their property. Specifically, SAR is asking for property owners South of NW Wilson River Highway, along NW Gales Creek Road, down to NW Mystic Drive, with an Eastern boundary of NW Shearer Road.
Thomas is described as 5’9’’, 165 lbs. with gray hair, gray beard, and glasses. Thomas was last seen wearing black shoes, blue jeans, a red flannel bottom-up shirt, and a dark colored baseball hat.
Thomas was last seen at approximately 3:30 p.m. walking Gales Creek Road. It is believed Thomas may have fallen into a hole or ditch.
Anyone who has seen Thomas after 3 p.m. on Tuesday, 10/14 is asked to call non-emergency dispatch at 503-629-0111.
If seen, call 911.

Search and Rescue teams are asking property owners in the Gales Creek and Hillside areas to check their property for Thomas - specifically south of NW Wilson River Highway, along NW Gales Creek Road, and down to NW Mystic Drive.
Thomas was last seen at approximately 3:30 p.m. walking Gales Creek Road. It is believed Thomas may have fallen into a hole or ditch.

Police and search teams have been following up on tips and leads called into dispatch; there is still search activity in the area around Forest Gale Heights and northwest of town toward Gales Creek.

The Forest Grove Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a 78-year-old Tom Weightman who was reported missing around 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14.
Tom is a white male, approximately 5’9” tall, 165 lbs with a medium-slender build.
He has short grey hair and beard.
Tom was last seen wearing a red and black checkered flannel, gray t-shirt, blue jeans, black shoes, a dark baseball cap and glasses.
He was last seen by his family around 10 a.m. at the intersection of Valley Crest Way and Circle Crest Drive in Forest Grove.
It is believed he is on foot.
Thomas has no known medical issues.
Police are currently working with Washington County Search & Rescue, a drone team, and multiple K9 units to locate him.
