Missing South Salem student's car found near Three Sisters Wilderness

Trevor Mitchell, 18, of Sublimity, was last seen noon Sunday in Stayton.
His black, four-door Toyota Corolla was found Tuesday abandoned at the Separation Lake Trailhead.
Family members said this sudden disappearance is "extremely uncharacteristic" of Mitchell, an international baccalaureate honors student at South Salem High School.

Hoping he's OK. He's not really dressed for cool nights.

Investigators say the 5-foot-11, 135-pound high school senior was last seen by his family around noon that day wearing a navy polo shirt, blue jeans and black Vans sneakers.

Sad news. Trevor has been found dead by hikers, an apparent suicide. I was afraid of this. I'm so sorry for his family and friends. He seemed to be a bright light.
