LAKE COUNTY – MISSING / ENDANGERED PERSON

The public’s assistance is requested in locating a missing and endangered individual.

Warren Sherman (DOB: 06/04/1955) has been entered into LEDS as missing/endangered. He was last seen on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 after leaving his residence in the Christmas Valley area at approximately 4:30 a.m., and has not been seen or heard from since.

- Vehicle: White Jeep Liberty with “RUBICON” across the front
- License Plate: 793QYY
- Last known area: Christmas Valley
- Medical concern: Mr. Sherman has dementia and may become disoriented or lost easily

Search ends for missing Lake County man found dead in remote area

A 70-year-old man who had been reported missing and endangered was found dead in a remote area of northern Lake County.

A 70-year-old man who had been reported missing and endangered was found dead in a remote area of northern Lake County.

Warren Sherman was located on Green Mountain on April 4 at about 1 p.m., according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office. Coordinated search efforts led to finding him.

Investigators do not suspect foul play at this time. The Lake County Sheriff's Office is working with the Lake County Medical Examiner to review the circumstances surrounding Sherman's death.
