I noticed today that 'Anonymous' have an Op on the go just now which is related to this case.
A search of 'anonymous court document leak' in youtube should find the video and relevant documentation.

Thanks newsjunkie for checking in and for the note of encouragement to continue sleuthing for Whitney. I think I understand your meaning, it's hard to give up on this beautiful girl. You are welcome! Thank you newsjunkie! I agree with Caffeinejean, that it is great to hear your words of encouragement and support, for continuing to sleuth for Whitney! Whitney and her family continue to stay in our thoughts. We will continue sharing whatever information that we find about Whitney and the case, as it is made available. Sometimes the local media carries stories and information that doesn't make it to the mainstream media, right away. We will try to post that information as we come across it.

Beautiful words Caffeinejean! You have a big heart! It is very difficult waiting. The trials can't be here soon enough. I am sure that this long wait for justice to be served, is extremely difficult on her family and loved ones! I will never forget Whitney either!

I posted the Google Maps Sleuthing Guide today, in the Websleuths Resource Center! I hope this guide can help people find more clues. I also hope this will help bring justice for Whitney, and help on other cases too. It is based on the research and sleuthing from this Whitney Heichel thread here on Websleuths!

In addition to the Google Maps Sleuthing Guide, I posted additional information on the same thread (link posted above), that might be helpful with this case as well as in other cases. Here are the additions that I posted on the same thread:

1. Link to the Search and Rescue Tracking Institute Articles on "Search for Human Remains in a Search and Rescue Environment"(FBI statistics, where to find clandestine graves/disturbed soil), "Aging of Soda Cans", "Children's Foot and Shoe Sizes" and a few more articles that might be of interest in other cases.
2. Links to cases that have been solved with Google Maps.
3. Link to Google Earth App(Win, Mac, Linux), that lets you compare images from 1940s-current date by sliding a historical timeline bar.

I am going to go back to the areas of interest that were in the 44 page doc, using the Google Earth App, and see if I can find additional clues that I might have missed in Google Maps via the Browser.

The addition of Google Earth and it's applications are really really cool, I had no idea what can be done with those. I agree that inside some of the Search and Rescue documents, that there are some parts that are not for the faint of heart. You have to pass the stuff that makes you squeamish, and read some of the info that interests you. Most of the info would be useful on other cases, since so much has already been found on WH's case. I hope I didn't leave anything out of the guide. I will add more to it as I come across more info! Thanks again for the recognition, I couldn't have done half of this without everybody's input!

I have to ask of those of you who are posting photos of Whitney: Do you have the permission or blessing from Whitney's family to post the photos? Because doing so seems over the top to me unless the family approves.

Reading and posting on Websleuths does bring strangers together for a common goal, but I do not think my sadness is in any way on a par with the grief of family and friends of victims. Having access to parts of a victiim's life does not mean, to me, we have to post what we find. And maybe that is just a feeling I have, that if my child were dead, I would not want some person I barely know, or don't know at all, to take personal stuff and post on a public forum.

I also understand your intentions are probably good, but it seems inappropriate to me.

I do have an understanding of the pain that the family is going through.

My intentions are very clear. Whitney was not a 44 page police report or a 5pm News soundbite. Whitney's mom made this very clear at the news conference. CH encouraged people to come to WH's Facebook page to see the kind of person she was. These photos are a reminder of Whitney's Life!

These photos are also a clear reminder of the personal side to this story. Whitney was a friend, a sister, a wife, a daughter...and the list goes on. When you take away the personal element of who a person is, then you are left with court documents and impersonal analogies. Reducing an individual to merely words on a page or forum, In my opinion is inappropriate.

I do respect your opinion and your concern for the family's feelings. That is why we are all here, because we do care!

I have posted a new article on the Google Maps Sleuthing Guide Thread, and I have included links to free Unblurring Software for the Mac and PC. The software is called Smartdeblur, and it might help us clean up some of the JH and Starbucks Google Maps screen captures that we got last month. I haven't used the software much, but it looks like a great tool that might help on this case as well as on other cases. This software might help clean up surveillance camera stills, house numbers, license plates, blurred faces and help pull out many more details from various blurred images. Adobe is coming out with similar software, but this is Free and you can start using it to sleuth clues on images right away!
