Thrilled to share that Othram, as part of an ongoing collaboration with the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office, helped identify Illya “Ella” Wilkins, born July 30, 1887.

Just wanted to say that we are so grateful to the Websleuths community for the support you all have provided over the last few years. The tsunami of solves is here and we couldn't be more excited to share each of these updates with you.

It's a good feeling, scrolling through the many cases that have been solved, and reading a bit about each person's story and how they have their names back. Often there is a nice photo taken when they were enjoying life. Gosh, there are just so many people who were lost. I dream that someday there will be no more John and Jane Does, but everyone will be identified.

Just read up on this one. The cases where people are so certain a MP is a John/Jane Doe but they just cant identify them are always heartbreaking. Well done!

Great work there, Othram....it must have taken quite a bit of effort, given that you wouldn't have had many samples to compare him to...

New case announcement, however we are not sure if there is a Websleuths thread:

Othram was able to assist the Mohave County Sheriff's Office in identifying 56-year-old Brian Crain from Golden Valley, Arizona. Grateful to Project Grace for funding the casework.

There IS a thread about remains found in Golden Valley in 2021, but there seems to be a date discrepancy, those were found in October, not January. Brian is mentioned in the thread as one of three potential missing people who may line up with those remains. The NamUs numbers are different, too, so I don't think it's the same Doe.

Honored to share that Othram assisted the Horry County Police Department in unraveling a conspiracy and in identifying the persons responsible for the 2018 murders of Robert and Robbie Ford. An amazing example of how genomics can and will change the criminal justice system, just in time for DNA Day.

Thanks to a new project funded by Audiochuck, we are able to assist on unsolved cases in their home state of Indiana! For this first case, Othram helped the Marion County Coroner's Office identify Patricia Anna Anderson, born on November 27th, 1960. She was found in 2020 and at the time no identification was possible.

There does not appear to be a Websleuths thread for this case.

She was an attractive woman...I wonder what happened to her. <modsnip>
