Othram - General Discussion - #3

Let's finish the week with ANOTHER solve!

Honored that Othram could assist Mississippi Office of the State Medical Examiner and Forrest County Sheriff's Office in identifying a Jane Doe, found in Hattiesburg in 2022, as Kimberly Ann Robertson, born January 12, 1974. Thanks to Carla Davis for funding this case!

Wow I literally just made a page on the UID wiki 2 days ago for her while her identity still wasn't announced, haha.

Honored that Othram could assist the Pennsylvania State Police in identifying a 1994 Jane Doe, previously known as Sugarloaf Jane Doe, as Margaret Carol Wininger, born September 5, 1948. Everyone deserves their name back!

Not sure there is a Websleuths thread.

Yes!! It would be amazing if Othram could help with this one. Definitely a challenge but like @othram says, everyone deserves their name back.

I know I would donate to crowdfunding this case :)

Honored that Othram could assist the Hillsborough County Sheriff's office in identifying a man whose remains were discovered in 1985 near Gibsonton, Florida. He is now identified as U.S. Navy veteran Charles Allen Ray, born in 1936. Florida is exploding with case solves!

I have tried searching using everything I can think to try, and I'm not finding a Doe thread for Charles.

We couldn't either but its a NamUs case and we are glad to see it solved.

Yeah, I searched by NamUs number, the Florida UD number, variations of location combined with date, nothing. I'm guessing he never got a thread made for him, which is strange, because his NamUs number is really low, only three digits, and usually the low number cases are on here somewhere, even if the thread is only a short one, because they've been in the system long enough for someone over the decades of WS history to start a thread for them. No dice.

And it's not like there's nothing out there about him. He had a good quality clay recon with great pictures of it, from a bunch of angles, and really great pictures of his personal effects, too, on Doe Net and the like. There was plenty to talk over just with those.

Ah, well, at least he has his name back, now.

Sleep well, Charles.
